Can be. Sometimes it's not though. Sometimes it's some guy who got dumped for being a loser and wanted others to feel pretty low as well.

Sometimes it's real wackos with crazy genes. But that's why you've got teams, or powers.

Well, it depends on who you ask. Anthropology is one of the most fundamental facets of modern science. Without knowing the foundations that build humanity, how can we possibly hope to anticipate the future?

Not clueless so much as from a world without any sort of superheroes at all.

I always considered it rather normal, to be perfectly honest. Superheroes were reserved for... comic books and the cinema. Fanciful imaginations. Heroes are firefighters and police officers and normal people who rescue individuals from car accidents, that manner of thing.

[He exhales. This is the very fabric of his world being challenged, okay?]

Well, thank you for telling me.

Oh yeah, I mean firefighters and stuff are still heroes but we have people like me. Superheroes, not just in comics. There's villains as well.
