[Well this is a somewhat uncomfortable way of having to discuss something he's been avoiding discussing. Arthur has been gone a week and things have moved on as they always will.]

Rio'era is one of the young turtle hatchlings. When their...caretakers leave, they seek out others to which they can bond.

You mean, he's like an orphan turtle? Oh no!

[They do not know what became of their parents, so they are already orphans, but Kaldur will not say that.]

There are other guardians, for the hatchlings appear to need three. It is important that they are cared for as they are the last of their kind that we know of.

[Although now Stiles is peering at Kaldur through the screen intently, eyebrows puckered together over his nose.]

Out of curiosity, have you smiled in the last, oh, I don't know, seventeen years?

[That completely unbalances Kaldur. His brow raises in confused bemusement.]

She is a girl. They can choose to be whatever they wish in our dreams. I was asking because I have items that belong to her. I believe her...former guardian would have liked for them to go to someone who can ensure she can use them as she likes.

I'm trying to picture what the hell a turtle would consider a toy, and I'm drawing a big ol' blank. It'll have to be very, very slow, whatever it is.

Colorful objects, things she can roll, textured items she can play with, and rope for tugging.

He returned to his own world some time ago, yes. [Which was good, as Kaldur did not doubt Arthur and Mera were needed there, but it also made Kaldur feel like making sure Rio'era was taken care of well was also one of the responsibilities left to him. Even though it isn't.]
