[A dark-haired kid who seems to be in his late teens appears on screen. He smiles, but it looks a bit forced.]
Hey. Tony Stark. [He gives a small wave.] I just... got here, I guess, and got the rundown on the whole scary death chaos monster situation. And all the giant magic turtle stuff. Sounds like a good time. [He laughs awkwardly, and rubs the back of his neck.] Better than centipede monster void dimensions, at least, [he mutters. This is not the first time he’s been suddenly yanked into a different dimension, evidently.]
Anyway, uh, if anyone needs some tech stuff or heavy lifting done, hit me up. I haven’t had a chance to take a close look at the tech here yet, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out. [He seems to brighten a little at the prospect of new alien technology to play with.
He looks like he’s about to cut the feed, but then he hesitates. There’s a couple seconds of anxious silence, and he fidgets, his cheerful demeanor faltering even more.] And, um, just out of curiosity... When they send us back home, there’s... There is something to go back to, isn’t there? [He laughs, but it’s nervous, like he’s not sure he wants to know the answer.] Nobody would really give me a straight answer, but... They’re not going to send us back if we’re just about to... Well, you know, get blown up or something. Right? I mean, that would be pretty messed up.

Re: video; Starkryption 100%
[Last thing she's expecting is for him to understand the situation, especially since she still has issues with being here before and not knowing anything about it.]
Well, uh, yeah. Happy Birthday! Sorry, it's just; I've never seen you be- [She'll find the word, give her a sec.] younger? But points for getting older.
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Uh, thanks? I think? [He's not sure why he should be getting points? For having older alternate universe selves...? But okay. This Korra kid seems nice enough, when she manages to get a complete sentence out. And it's pretty cool that she's his age. He'll feel better fighting alongside his peers, instead of just with a bunch of adults who are decades older than he is. It won't be like having Pepper and Rhodey at his side... but it's something.]
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Well, there is a reason for that. One of the biggest companies in Keeliai is Stark Industries and hires foreigners that have a knack for inventing stuff or that are just really brainy. [A small shrug is all she needs to denote the rest.] Your older you really got around.
[Of course she means in people's circles, but...oops.]
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
So... One of the other Tonys set up Stark Interna-- uh, Stark Industries here?
[He'd been told in the welcome center that foreigners were encouraged to find jobs in the city. Apparently his older self had taken that as an invitation to establish his own corporation in Keeliai. He smiles. Just the kind of entrepreneurial spirit his dad would admire.]
But the other Tonys aren't around anymore, are they? So who runs it now?
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Right now, you might want to talk to Aya and Jack Frost about that. I only referred foreigners to your business since I don't have the tech smarts some foreigners do. [She crosses her arms and leans back in her spinny chair.] Think you can handle it?
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
[She leans back in her chair and asks him if he's up to the task of running Keeliai's Stark Industries. Hmph! Of course he is! He's Tony Stark, isn't he?] Yeah, I can handle it. If they've already got everything under control over there, I won't butt in, but I know I can run it better than Obadiah Stane or Justin Hammer.
[(To be fair, Tony, that's a pretty low bar.)]
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Justin was here for a little bit. Nice guy. [She's actually not sarcastic on that remark.] But only you ran it. I don't think Aya and Jack would have a problem with having you in charge of it. I mean, the building's got your name on it.
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Well he wasn't some kind of zombie, but he was older and needed a hand since he arrived while we had to do some serious rationing. So I helped him, didn't seem like the psycho type to me.
[She raises her eyebrows, her eyes flat.]
And trust me, I've seen some psychos come through here.
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
I wonder if some universe has a nice version of Obadiah? Maybe they'll be willing to trade, [Tony jokes.]
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
But if it makes you feel better, no Obadiah's been here since I've been on the turtle. I don't think there has been anyway. [She puts her feet down and is about to let Tony get back to his first day on Tu Vishan, but she pauses to look at Tony as a thought strikes her.]
Hey. Are you still really good with that repulsor stuff and machines? I have something that only you'd be able to help fix.
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Am I still good with repulsors and machines? [Psh, come on Korra, of course he is.] Just because I'm not an old fogey doesn't mean I'm not still a genius. What needs fixing?
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
A starship! [Dramatic pause, because she can't help herself.] A small one. I think the repulsor battery, core- thing is being weird. It's only half powered.
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
[Total cat deer in the headlights.]
It's, uh, big enough to hold with both hands- but. I dooo [FTL?!] n't know.I just know it uses something like what Tony has in his chest.
[And then she peers down as if she could see if the node's there. It's going to be completely awkward if that hasn't happened to Tony yet. Or if it even would.]
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Hold on, can we back up a little? I think we got some wires crossed just now. What kind of starship is this? And what the heck does a heart monitor have to do with powering it?
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
You, do have a, uh-? [She draws a small circle on her chest.] It glows like that, but it's a lot smaller. No idea on how it powers the ship.
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
I used to have that, yeah, but it was just... sort of like a pacemaker and a heart monitor together. It was experimental tech, but not a power source or anything like that. It ran off a battery. I had to charge it every couple days. Is that... did your Tony have something different...?
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
She looks up after that second and nods.]
Yeah, something different. [Inclining her head, Korra’s mouth moves to one side of her face in an unsure manner.]
Uh, you don’t have to if you don’t want to. It’s not a big deal...
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Oh, no, now you've got me curious. I want to see this "starship" of yours.
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
to her.]
Alright! Take your time getting used to the city, I know it's a big change for a lot of people. But I'm at Jin-Hao in Metal when you want to check it out.
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
Re: video; Starkryption 100%
[She's not sure if he's got the same kind of 'metalbending' that the other Tony had, so she a quick barrage of words right before she turns off the feed:] And bring your armor!
