00004 VIDEO: v for vendetta
No redemption without blood..
[Mike mutters the words as he turns on and adjusts the video, heaving a deep sigh. He looks darker and more worn than usual, yet there's a certain satisfaction lurking behind his expression. The agent clears his throat and shifts in his chair before leaning forward to address the network.]
Have any of you thought about what might happen if we fail? The magic that brought us here.. who's to say he doesn't have the same power? That he can't go to our worlds and hurt everyone we care about?
My father di- [He chokes on the word, swallows, and takes a moment before starting again. His voice is strained, raw with emotion.] My innocent father was executed because I failed to recognize the threat that was in front of me, because I missed something. We can't let that happen here. If we don't succeed.. who knows what it could cost?

He's certainly nodding at the business of keeping things simple enough, given that they do not have too much time to make this happen. They can fight over things later, well, aside from those who are very likely to pick that up immediately, anyway. ]
Too much elaboration, yes, it would all become rather bogged down quickly enough, wouldn't it? It would not cause all of the detractors to calmly wait for a chance to do so, if we promised any divisions were temporary. Some, perhaps, but certainly, we would have problems there, not only because they would be needed to fight, but because revenge seems all too likely a motive for trying to change things themselves. Making enemies is not the way to go about it, easier though that is.
Dividing themselves is a decent idea, at that. It has some element of choice involved at least, and it could be a start. Feeling that one has even a bit of power seems beneficial. The matter of the others needs more thought. Incentives, perhaps, if we might think of any beyond the biggest one of all, that is. There could be something in that, still.
