26 ❄ ( VIDEO )
Hey everyone. The Welcome Center is coming along pretty well, and we've got all the structural things put back to rights. I still need to talk to the Metalworkers and ask what it'll take to get a couple consoles put in there.
The people who have arrived since we all got out of the Dreaming seem like they're being dropped all over. If you were one of them, can you reply and let me know where in the city -- or outside of it? -- you showed up? Just in case there's a pattern.
Has anyone had luck getting the kedan to hire them?

Re: video;
I don't need the help in the Center itself so much as out in the city, getting the information we use AT the Center. We used to be able to direct people to certain shopkeepers who'd give them a good deal, things like that. Obviously, that's... a bit more of a problem right now.
[ Jack frowns a little bit at the mention of SI. ]
Anything you can do on that side will definitely help and I'd appreciate it if you could be a go-between for Aya and I, she's not able to see or hear me. Nice girl, lacking on the belief side of things.

I'll see what I can do with Zanru. [But he's curious about what Jack just said about Aya.] Aya can't see you? Does this have something to do with you being invisible on that console message when I first got here? What's the deal with that?
[He hasn't interacted a whole lot with Jack except in passing since then, and he'd brushed it off as just some weird magical quirk. He can't remember if Jack had tried to explain it in that first conversation; Tony had still been processing the whole "magic" thing and he'd been hearing everything through a pretty heavy Skeptic Filter.]
Re: video;
Same reason, yeah. You have to believe in spirits, or near enough things like us, to be able to see me. It hasn't been a problem so much as it was when I originally got here, but Aya's one of the few hold-outs. Not on purpose, but you know.

That's terrible scientific methodology, though. I can see why Aya would have a hard time with it.

I'm not arguing that one, I've always thought the rule was pretty stupid myself. Seeing is believing is seeing, what a pain that was for a long time.
[ He's making light of it, but he's also had a few years of Keeliai to come to terms with it, and he's no longer nearly as bitter as he once was about it. ]
Unfortunately, there are some rules that are less rules and more "actual law of the universe that can't be broken".

[He says it lightly, unaware of any of the bitterness and baggage that Jack might have about it.]

I like the way you think, Tony! It's a shame Bunny isn't still here, he'd get up in arms to hear you say that.

[Tony's usual reaction to someone saying "unbreakable law of the universe" is "wanna bet?"]
