[Having been here a few days now, Aqua has mostly acclimated to being around people again, and simply sitting idle doesn't suit her. She's had enough of aimless wandering with no direction to last her a long while.]

Hello, my name is Aqua, and I arrived here a few days ago. Things have been mostly explained to me, and I'd like to help out in any way I can. I'm not sure where to start looking, though, so I'd be grateful for some direction. I know a fair number of spells, but I'm not sure how useful they would be here. [She hasn't seen Unversed or any other sort of monster around, so she doubts being able to summon a bolt of lightning upon a target would be of much help to the general population.]

[A brief pause while she considers whether or not to ask her other question, given that she's just offered to help, but decides to go ahead anyway.]

And... I understand that how we are brought here is not fully known, or how we could leave, but if anyone has an idea, please let me know. I've been away from my home too long.

[She's worried about both Ven and Terra. The former is safe, but what if he has awoken in her absence? And the latter... she doesn't know at all.]

Hey, I'm Sokka. And well, for most of us, we had a chance to go home recently, but a lot of us came back... and I don't know if we're going to get another chance soon. But that involves all sorts of weird magicky sort of things that are a little outside my realm of expertise.

Hey, cheer up! If you'd been brought here earlier, you would have had to worry about cultists trying to destroy the entire turtle, a good number of assassination attempts, sinister mobs, and a rather creepy guy who I'm guessing was trying to wipe us all out or something. By comparison, this is actually a great time to be on the turtle!

Though in all truth, I don't know why the people who went home did come back. I'm going to have to say that it wasn't their choice though.

Well, from what I've been told, there's some spell out there that someone made a long time ago to bring people here from other words so that they could defeat some baddie that was terrorising the place. But despite the fact that the job is done, no one seems to know how to make it stop.

So what sort of magic do you know?

That kind of magic shouldn't be allowed to keep going unchecked, though. Do you know if anyone has looked into learning how it works?

[A spell designed to bring fighters from other worlds should not be bringing children in, and she's also now suspecting the same spell may be responsible for cutting off her abilities to open the Lanes Between.]

Most of my magic is combat-oriented, though I do know a few charms as well.

Well I've only been here for a week, so you're probably going to have to ask someone else about that. Besides, I'd hope the answer is that someone has looked into it, but nobody really knows how to stop it.

[Genis just folds his arms over his chest. The boy clearly is putting faith into people that he barely knows.]

All in all, you sound a lot like me. Casting spells to flatten monsters is my speciality.

Some of us have been here for years, and we still don't have any idea how to get back on our own.

[And then, less it sound like she was purposely raining on the older girl's parade, she added:]

[To her credit, she genuinely was. Midii might not have had much of a home to go back to, but she was well aware that there were many who did.]

Years? [Her eyes widen. True, she's not sure how long it's been since her battle against Xehanort as he possessed Terra, and her subsequent entrapment in the Realm of Darkness, but surely it couldn't have been years.

[A small smile appears on her face.] And I'm sure there's a way. There always is.

[The idea never even crossed her mind, and she does sound puzzled (and just a little hurt) that it would be assumed so quickly. Has there been a problem with information like that being held secret in the past?]

If the spell now works the same way it did when we first began arriving here, when you do finally return home, it will be as if no time has passed.

[A little somberly:] Though I'm given to understand you'll remember nothing of your time here.

[And then come the social niceties.] My name is Raine Sage. May I ask what use your spells typically have?

[It's all she can initially manage at such news. A spell powerful enough to send one back in time, potentially across months? Was such a thing even possible? She had encountered time reversal magic, yes, but not on that scale.

And to remember nothing of her time here... she has not been her long at all, but completely forgetting it entirely is not something she wants.]

If it still works as it did, then... would we also be returned to the place we were brought from?

[Aqua's tone makes it clear that is not something she desires. Should that be the case, she'd be much less inclined to unraveling the spell's mechanics, at least as far as intending to replicate them.

It's a lot to digest, so much so that the social niceties are a welcome distraction for the moment.]

It's nice to meet you, Raine. My magic is mostly used to protect myself and battle dark forces, thought it sounds as if the time for that has passed here.

[She thinks for a moment.]

Though it's possible I could find other uses for it outside of combat, and healing spells certainly can be of help regardless.

The same time, and the same place. As if nothing had changed. [That definitely sounds a little bitter. Raine hates this idea quite a bit, actually, and it contributed to why she stayed in Keeliai. The look she offers Aqua says something of commiseration.]

The time for battling dark forces may have passed, but things aren't completely restful here either, I'm afraid. You know some healing spells?

[That's got Raine's attention; she shifts away from the less pleasant thoughts easily. She's a bit pleased, honestly. By way of explanation:] I've recently taken over the Healer's Guild here. Is it possible that you could teach your spells? Even if you can't, I could likely use your help.

What kinds of spells do you know? They could prove useful, no matter what they are.

Elemental spells, healing spells, some debilitating ones, magic that best helps in combat. I haven't had a chance to see if they have applications outside of battle, though I'm certain some of them won't be useful at all otherwise.

[Megaflare could melt ice. And set fire to everything else in a 30 foot radius around her.]

Versatility's important. They'll probably serve you well in any case.

This place is a melting pot for magics, nearly every kind works here. If you're creative enough, you should be able to find some way to use it.
