[radio]
[Even if you don't recognise the voice that buzzes into life over the Welcome Centre issued radios late in the morning, at least three things are pretty obvious. One, it belongs to a teenage boy - it might be cracking a little around the edges, or that might just be some ragged-sounding breathing, someone's ragged breathing. Two, while the young man's panic is clear from the moment he opens his mouth, not all of his words are. And three, who the hell has time to sit around and count all these stupid minor details? Yosuke doesn't.]
... Hello? Hey! Can anyone hear me? Dammit, I need - we need help! There's a girl, she says her name's Xion... And one of them, you know, the ones who've been going after all of us - that son of a bitch, he had a gun, I couldn't...
[He trails off into a frustrated groan. No, he didn't exactly have time to straighten out the entire speech before broadcasting, either. Urgh, of all the times for his head to start feeling slurred too!]
Look, just - forget that, just tell me where to take her! [See, this here is what it sounds like when his voice does crack.] Please... Before something worse happens.

still. from the sound of it, it's urgent, and injured civilians caught up in conflict have always left a bad taste in his mouth.]
Why don't you start off with where the hell you two are and how bad it is.
no subject
[He falters. Oops, lost his train of thought.]
Hey, I just need rough directions! That's all, I swear.

Once his transmission starts, the listeners can hear someone female talking frantic in the background.]
How close are you to other sec—
Hey! What?
[The transmission cuts off.]
[ooc: Aqua's hijacking the radio from him and will take over for the time being.]

I'm Aqua, a friend of Xion's. Where are you in the Fire Sector? You need to get her to the Healer’s Guild. We can help her; I’ll be there soon. Tell me where you are, I'll give you directions, and please do anything you can to stop or slow the bleeding!
[Her mind is racing with panic and fear, and her mouth is running just as fast. No no no no this wasn't supposed to happen, she is supposed to protect Xion and keep her from harm as her master. It takes her a moment to realize she should let the boy speak, and she stops to let him reply.]

... Wait, you're one of the people she - [Man, under normal circumstances he might even be a little gratified that he's no longer the only one who sounds worked up. There's no time to dwell on that, though. Come on, get a grip.] Um...! We're not far from the central one, I know that much. Just tell me - [he hesitates; his moment of silence has an unpleasantly sticky undertone] - tell me where to go from there!
no subject
Okay, once you reach the Central sector, the fastest way to the Healer's Guild would be... [And here she runs down instructions
that the mun is handwaving due to lack of streetmapsthat should get him to the Healer's Guild fastest from the general area of the confluence of Fire and Central. She'd much prefer to go to Xion herself, but if she's bleeding badly no second could be wasted on trying to locate two young foreigners in a large city.]Do you have that?
no subject
[Dammit, however uncertain he sounds or feels, he has to have it down, doesn't he? But just to make sure it sticks, he hurriedly repeats the directions back - half under his breath, and stumbling at first, but otherwise accurate.]
- and then... Yeah, got it. We're on our way!
[He'll remember that he forgot to thank her and feel a shade embarrassed once he's halfway there. For now, all Aqua will hear is the loud crash of something shattering nearby, an odd background whoomph, and then nothing but the muffled noise of pounding feet. ...Apparently he forgot to turn his radio off, too.]
no subject
Try to keep calm. [She knew that would be hard, but it was important. The calmer he was, the better he would hear what she needed to ask.] How badly is she hurt?
[It wasn't a stretch to assume that someone had been shot--there had been talk of a gun.]

That depends.
If it was just a flesh wound, you can keep pressure on it yourself and carry her to the hospital from there. If it's worse than that...well, you'll still need to keep pressure on this, but it might be too dangerous to move her.

Are you putting pressure on the wound?
no subject
Okay... Okay. Pressure. [No pressure.] Uh, but there's no - oh, that's right, she's got a coat, he ripped right through it - dammit, I don't even know which way he went...!
no subject
Don't worry about him right now. There's only so many place somebody can run. Focus on...Xion, was it?
Can you take the coat off, use it as a compress maybe?
no subject
[It's accompanied by a sticky noise, and then more rustling than is strictly necessary. The dude could've had the decency to shoot her in front of someone who'd ever hung around with the health committee back at school. Or, you know, not shoot her.
Still, even knowing that he needs to look past the blood on the coat and just focus for once, it's hard for him to stop his concentration from drifting. Harder than normal, maybe. He ends up starting to mumble again.] But if there's nothing besides just sitting and hoping someone's gonna trip over us in time... I don't know...
no subject
[Now, she had seen her fair share of injuries over the years. Some probably even more gruesome than whatever poor Xion was enduring. But there was something about that noise--the lack of visual confirmation as to what was causing it--that caused her to shudder.]
Has anyone else contacted you yet?
no subject
[Nothing could go wrong with that plan.]
no subject
Good luck. And be careful; remember to keep pressure on the wound until you can get her to the clinic.

[he was trying to remember everything Bianca had taught him about first aid, and what he'd known on his own. Guns were not common where he was from, but he'd seen them before. And he'd seen plenty of wounds.]

if someone gets there before I do, so much the better.

Right. I'm leaving now, and I'll come help stabilize her.

[After that, the only further response is muffled background panic, maybe with a wordless shout mixed in. He'll remember to turn the thing off eventually.]
