[ there are quite a few things akito would like to address, but just the thought of trying to find the right words for it all is exhausting. so he keeps it simple, and focuses on what he wants to ask the most: ]

...The Foreigners have a resistance to the zhyris but not an immunity, right?

[ his voice is scratchy and he sounds tired, but otherwise doesn't sound all that bad. and it's totally not related in any way to his question. nope. no way. ]

[Okay, then. Plan B.]

Do you feel sick?

[Something different entirely. Even if there was no certainty on any definitive disease, symptoms were pretty easy to spot and identify.]
unetrustworthy: (hmm...)

You were asking about the kedan sickness, though.

If this was just about you being tired, I don't think you'd be so worried. We're all tired sometimes. The days can be long, depending upon what your job is.

[Hers, for example. Running errands all across the city for a commissioned wage. Not that she minded. It gave her plenty of exercise, offered excuses for wandering the streets alone, and she usually slept well by the time she did make it back to her bed at night.]

[So he was feeling sick.]

If you don't feel yourself, it would be safer to stay home. Even if it's just for one day.

I'm sure your boss would understand, considering everything.

What is it you do, exactly? Maybe I can help...

[It would benefit her as well giving her work for the day.]
unetrustworthy: (exhausted)

[personal profile] unetrustworthy 2015-06-03 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
[Those were...oddly specific conditions.]

Are you attacked often during your runs?

I'm quiet. I know the streets. But...I'm not much of a fighter.
unetrustworthy: (hat)

[personal profile] unetrustworthy 2015-06-03 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
[She nodded, but...]

If it's not a language I can read, somebody would have to read it to me. Is that alright with you?

[She was willing to help, and it would benefit her...but a part of her would always carry that lingering sense of paranoia. If she was to sign something, she waned to know what she was signing.]
unetrustworthy: (concerned)

[personal profile] unetrustworthy 2015-06-03 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
French and Japanese.

[She used to be able to read both English and at least one of the major kedan dialects as well, but...that had been a Boon granted to her from "Asti". When Malicant was defeated, the ability left her.]

My French is better, but I can make out all the basic kanji I need to understand school books at my reading level.
unetrustworthy: (almost a smile)

[personal profile] unetrustworthy 2015-06-03 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
Simple Japanese would be fine.

[She actually smiled in relief; that was an ideal situation for her, to be able to read her own contact.]

Would you like me to come by to sign it? I don't mind.
unetrustworthy: (inquisitive)

[personal profile] unetrustworthy 2015-06-04 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
[There is that. She had been sick once already, thanks to the spores. A relapse, or second illness, would be best observed from afar.]

Thank you.

If I'm not in, it can be left at the main desk. I'll make certain to check my mail when I get back.
unetrustworthy: (memoirs)

[personal profile] unetrustworthy 2015-06-04 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
At the desk with Anton.

[She echoed a bit slower, as if to help remind herself. It had been as much for her sake as his. Nobody ever left mail for her, so checking would fall outside her usual routine.]

And how should I get it back to you?
unetrustworthy: (Holding documents)

[personal profile] unetrustworthy 2015-06-04 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Should I leave the signed contract back at the front desk, then?

[It seemed almost unnecessary to specify, except...she wanted to make sure that Bird didn't go hunting her down. Midii had grown accustomed to living in close quarters with several individuals. And she had grown up with three little brothers. Which meant that, while she could deal with having her privacy invaded when necessary...she also selfishly enjoyed having her space to herself, uninterrupted.]

[It was why she never agreed to meet with anyone in her actual room.]
unetrustworthy: (listening)

Alright.

Thank you. For trusting me. And I do hope you feel better soon.
