[ Stork's lanky arms are wrapped around his frame, and he's folded himself almost too small on the chair in front of the console, but he nods. ]

[And he's just going to walk over, putting a hand on Stork's shoulder. He can't, in good conscience, leave the guy like this.]

[ Stork just about contorts, with how badly he flinches away from the touch, even though it's not Shay he's reacting to. ]

It's not fresh, it's the middle of cloudflea breeding season. Do you know what those things can do if they lay their eggs on you?

Any kind of nightmare that we all end up sharing is probably the result of a Hupuxian dream-scorpion infestation. We should start checking anywhere there's salt.

A Hupu....what? Uh, no. I don't think it was one of those. There were turtles involved, and we kinda live on a giant turtle, right?

Hupuxian dream-scorpion. They crawl under your toenails when you're asleep, and their venom gives you horrible nightmares.

[Anton was ensconced--reluctantly--in front of the fire when the vision hit. In its wake it leaves him, once more, with a tremble in his body and an unnerving numbness in his fingers. In spite of that he gets up and moves to the entrance between the lobby and the commons, leaning on the jamb.]

Malicant. That was the day he murdered five of the turtle hatchlings.

He murdered the emperor that day as well. It wasn't until some months later that we figured out how to kill an incorporeal being. He's gone now.

[ Vergil had woke with the start, having fallen asleep while reading so the vision was unexpected and he knew it was not just any dream. He certainly never drempt of turtles before. Hearing the voice ask the question when he checked the network he realized someone wanted the images seen.]

Yes, the turtle children killed by the former evil of the land. I've heard stories of both before but never seen either before now.

Close to a year, I believe since they were awoken. I arrived sometime after all of that. I was simply informed about the events.
