[By now, Ven's used to worldhopping, and after his last experience with the Star Shard, it's hardly a surprise to have crash landed in a brand new world. The sheer size of his new surroundings took him off guard, but it's kinda exciting to wind up somewhere so huge, so bustling, and so different.

Fortunately, he's adaptable, and he's picked up the basics of the console after that little crash course. Still, when the feed clicks on, he leans in for a moment, making sure the machine's recording. A few seconds later, he steps back and greets viewers with a bright smile and a wave.]

Whew! Okay, I think I got it working now, so if anyone's watching, I'm Ventus! But you can call me Ven.

[He chuckles. That came off a bit sillier than he intended. Ah well.]

This technology's something else! I mean, I've seen some pretty cool things in Deep Space, but it was all stuff like laser guns, low gravity chambers, escape pods... Nothing that'd let you talk to other people like this.

[At least, not that he knows of. Then again, he was kinda busy at the time.

But now he's getting carried away, so he sheepishly rubs his neck.]

Er, anyway, I've got an idea of what's going on now, and I wanna do whatever I can to help! But first, I've just got a quick question... Has anyone heard of the Unversed?

Unversed... sounds like a song composer running amok.

[Pffft. Ven snickers. Man, that's a new one! It doesn't take long before he shakes his head, though there's a grin glued to his lips.]

Man, I wish, but they're monsters, and I'm pretty sure they don't care about music. They're... well, they come in all kindsa forms. There's big, bulky ones, ones that look like plants, birds, rabbits... One of 'em even looked like a scary tree!

Lots of worlds have monsters... seems like they're all got their little niches to fill, you know? I try to keep an open mind about what's a "monster" and what's not. Half the spirits I know aren't human-shaped, so I wouldn't want to accidentally step on their toes.

[He frowns. It's a good point. He's been to enough worlds to know that people come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Humans are hardly the only ones who matter, and he's made friends with mice, ducks, fairies, the list goes on.]

It's tough sometimes. A lot of people tend to judge based on looks alone, but one of my friends is this blue alien that people treated like an abomination. I don't even get why, when all he wanted was to make friends.

The Unversed aren't like that, though. They just attack and attack, and just when you think you've cleared 'em out, a whole new wave of 'em pops up! I don't even know where they come from...

People don't usually like what they find is different. To be fair, blue alien would be a little harder to swallow for most people, no offense to your friend.

Sounds a lot like fighting Pitch's Nightmares, actually.

None taken! I guess for me, it's more exciting than scary. I've made friends with mice, ducks, and even a demi-god, and all because I decided to ignore my Master's orders.

[He chuckles awkwardly, and a lopsided smile lines his lips.]

Sometimes you just gotta follow your gut.

[Or follow the cryptic warnings of a jerk in a mask. Same difference!]

So, what're those Nightmares like? I mean, I'm guessing they're pretty scary, but this is the first I've heard of 'em.

Nightmares are made of corrupted Dreamsand... most of the time they're these creepy ethereal horse-shaped things.

Dream... sand?

[He tilts his head, brow furrowing while he cups his chin in his hand.]

I get creepy horses, but what's sand got to do with dreams?

[So weird. Was it just one of those otherworldly things, or was it buried in some book in the library that he'd just overlooked? This is way too strange to ignore.

Cool, though. No doubt about that.]

Never heard of the Sandman?

Nope! But I did read about some other guys, like Santa Claus. I dunno if the stories are true, but if one guy can travel between all the worlds in one night, then he's gotta have some crazy magic.

[Or super speed. Or both! He's reached a point where he tries not to question the mechanical aspect of these things. It takes away the splendor.

Plus, worlds based on holidays sound amazing. Too bad he's never made it that far.]

Yeah, North's really amazing like that. He uses a weird sort of magic thing to get down chimneys, including houses that don't even have them.

[Jack. Jack, do you realize what you'd just said? Do you realize what you've just done?

Ven's eyes widen. His mouth hangs slightly ajar. For the first few seconds, he just stares...

And then a giant grin overtakes his face, and he leans closer to the camera.]

No way! You actually know Santa Claus?

[That is amazing. And awesome. There's so much he's gotta ask now!]

[ North, you would love it here. Belief abounds. ]

Yeah, sure do. Good to hear he's a familiar fixture in other worlds, too.

Well, I never met him personally, but I've heard stories!

[Which is why he's going all starry-eyed now. So cool...]

So what's he like? Does he really like milk and cookies? Oh, and what about the reindeer?

He's a great guy, kind of like a big kid himself, he does like milk and a lot cookies, and the reindeer are super intimidating and you don't want to be in front of them when they're taking off. The images of them with like dainty little hooves? Way off.

Oh, so are they like mooses? All the pictures I've seen of them had these huge antlers and big, bulky bodies.

Well, not quite that big, moose are scary. Seriously, don't ever get in front of one. Reindeer remind me more of elk.

[ This is totally a normal conversation. ]

Aww. But what if you gave 'em a carrot? There's gotta be some way to get on a moose's good side.

[But this is Ven, the dork who thinks he can befriend just about anybody.]

Next time I see one, I'll test that theory out. But, uh, the carrot might be going on a long stick, just in case. Not my staff though.

Huh, you've got a staff? So are you some kinda mage?

[He's from an RPG, okay. That's always gonna be his first assumption.]

Not a mage, just a guy with a stick. Also spirit, but that doesn't have anything to do with the staff.
