I thought turtles ate things like... plants. And fruit.

When I thought about feeding the turtle, jellyfish was offered as something they might eat. Fish and seaweed too, but jellyfish...

But where does the shell come from? Don't things with horns need to eat things that have the nutrients to make the hard substance? Like if you eat a lot of soup that was cooked with a bone in it, your nails, hair, and joints are better?
