So, um....
[There's a man on the feed. He's looking a bit beaten up, a nice gash on his forehead that's been covered up, but... Yeah. He's smiling. From what you can see of him, he's wearing dark-blue hospital scrubs.
When he speaks, his voice has an English accent. London, if anyone knows enough about it.]
I'm still tryin' to sort this whole "city-on-a-turtle" thing out in my head. It's kinda... a lot to take in. [He laughs.] Must've been a magic grenade. Anyway... Guess I'd better introduce myself. Adrian Fletcher, call me Fletch. I'm a nurse, so... if you need help in a medical capacity, I'm your bloke.
And, well, I can sideline as a mechanic, but you lot don't seem to have many cars around here... and it's kinda been three years since I last 'ad me 'ands on a motor proper.
[He then claps his hands.]
Right. First order of business... I'm gonna need a place to stay. Then... [He looks down.] I'm gonna need to change outta these scrubs. Ain't exactly purpose-built for bein' transported to another world.
And, uh... I know this was probably all covered by the lovely young lady at the visitor's centre, but... I kinda spaced out and just nodded... Sorry, love.

[This... was going to be complicated.]
So, I can probably rule out cannulation and IV drips, eh?
no subject
[ 'Complicated' is the state of life here. ]
Oh, uh, you're... near the Welcome Center? I could probably show you to the Hotel if you wanted...
no subject
[Oh, well. He'll cope.]
Uh, I'm in a caffe in the... [Looking out the window.] ...Water sector? I went wandering, and... I'm kinda a bit lost.
no subject
[ This is gonna be fun. ]
Do you mind sitting still? Or—if you wanted to look around more first, see what offers come by...

[ It's unfortunate that the doors to the Hotel are malfunctioning in the fog, so there's going to be time while they pass through the Central sector to Water before anything else. ]

That's okay. Tell me more and I'll see if I can find you.

Mr. Fletcher?

And he has a nervousness that would rival Dr. Digby.]
No. I'm afraid you've got the wrong person.
[He can't help it. He's even changed the accent and everything, making sure his name badge isn't visible.]

[ They can't help it. They tense and try to hide the anxiousness that blossoms up. That it's a joke does cross their mind, but it doesn't stop the immediate reaction. ]
What? But... that's not... funny...
no subject
Relax. Just a joke.
no subject
Oh... Okay. Um—so, you're... uh, ready to go?
no subject
[He slowly starts to stand up, wincing slightly.]
Lead the way.
no subject
What happened?
no subject
[And Casey is flashed with a disarming smile.]
Lead on.
no subject
[ There's a bit of an eyeroll to that but they aren't close enough for Casey to push. ]
Did you have any questions? Or...
no subject
[Trust him, Casey. Trust him.]
Uh, no. None at the moment.
no subject
[ There's a pause before Casey staves off the fidgets, tries asking something else. ]
How long have you been a nurse, Mr. Fletcher?
