Radio; 001

[There's a strong sound of static on this broadcast. Perhaps it's from all the salt. Still, a voice gets through. It's the voice of a young girl and it sounds skeptical and just a tad put-out.]

Hello?

...I was told there are people on the other side of this, but I have looked and there was no one there.

If there are people where I cannot see, then I am looking for my friend. His name is Ico.

[There's a pause, filled only by static before she speaks again.]

I am Yorda.

[ River considers the question with due thoughtfulness; unfortunately, her answer may just further confuse Yorda. ]

I'm a River who isn't a river. But there can be more than one River, because of this place.

There are people here who can help you look. What is he like?

It's good to only be yourself. But humans aren't supposed to come with horns.

[ The way River says it is contemplative, though. Being here, it's hard to dismiss such things, or make blanket statements. ]

There are places you can check... the Welcome Center. But I haven't heard the name.
problematical: (kind of hard to see beyond the glow)

[ River sounds puzzled. ]

But this isn't a star, it's theoretically a planet. Habitable class, non-binary system.
problematical: (reach for something that's already gone)

A celestial body moving in an elliptical orbit around a star. Officially, a planet is a celestial body that has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium shape, and is in orbit around a star, and is neither a star nor a satellite of a planet.
