[Good evening, Keeliai, have your first Damian-as-Robin post. And, yes, it is the slightly different Robin voice, too.]

Considering the level of technology here, there was an item I found on the Mainland that might, I suppose, belong to one of the foreigners. It certainly doesn't match anything native, especially with the organic component in the consoles.

It is a laptop with a glowing symbol on it, and if anyone has something like that, back home, let me know.

[Yes, the specifics of the symbol are left out on purpose. Damian has to have a way to check if the item really does belong to the person who might answer.]

No. I haven't. [She's completely willing to admit that, even though it's not really any of his business. And, oh, hi. You're younger than she was expecting.] We met about a month ago, I think.

[Didn't Wally tell you this part? And Robin stares for a moment - you can't see that he's blinking behind the white-out lenses, but.]

And that... makes a difference when it comes to who he will recognize or not?

[He hasn't had first-hand experience with West back home, when they talked here flirting wasn't a thing, and - well. Even with Grayson, that hasn't been much of a distraction. Se he's... kind of confused by that. Not for long, because he crosses his arms with a >Tt.< - but the reaction is still there.]

[She knew the other Robin was 'younger'. What she didn't know was that he looked small enough to fit in a breadbox. Or at least an overhead storage container.]

If it's true he's really been here as long as he has...then, yeah, I guess.

[She gives a fairly casual shrug. The whole concept of relative time was still giving her a headache. Best not to dwell on that sort of thing.]

Oh, you'd be surprised how easily he can distract himself from certain things.

[... like her own Robin isn't skinny and flexible enough to fit in the latter. Plus, stuffing this one in an overhead storage container will probably end in bloodshed. Sooner or later.]

I'm still not entirely sure how that's possible.

It would've been enough for an initial conversation. My point is, you've been listening in, haven't you?

[You know it's true. And, well, less than a challenge and more a statement of fact.]

One of the options is time working differently here and there - like in a dream. Another may be that this is not actually real at all - there are technical and magical means both to achieve an effect similar to what is here. There are other possibilities, as well, if you really look for them.

[Damian is not very big on 'impossible,' really.
... of course not. That is the description, the explanation has a lot more words in it.]

[And Robin stills for a moment, then shrugs.]

That's not how you stay alert and updated in order to fight crime, you know.

I am not sure. But it is highly likely that I may have to fight on information that one or both of you did not think to update me with directly.

If you want to know something, just ask.

If I don't tell you, then you don't need to know.

Actually, if you make it known in a public conversation, there is no rule to say the information should not be available.

[This is not including the parts where he listens to at least part of the encrypted conversations, too, but... well. She doesn't need to know about that.]

And I was talking more about things that I would not yet know to ask about.

How do you think people find information for missions of the superheroes where the crises has not yet happened, but may be averted, if not by monitoring the available information, anyway?

We're more than just superheroes, you realize. Some of us are actually friends and like talking about normal, non-superhero-y things.

So you have said and keep repeating as though I am supposed to be more impressed by the repetition than by the first mention.

I do not necessarily keep a close eye on all the details. But something mentioned in passing could save somebody's life. I wouldn't know unless I pay attention, now would I?
