Radio;

Good evening, everyone. I understand that recent events and revelations have been... shocking, to say the least. I would hope that all of us will reserve any judgment until we have heard the whole story, including Doctor Milyn's side. And that is all I will say on that.

There is another matter that I need to bring to your attention, and one that is quite pressing.

We have been grounded a few weeks. As most of you are aware, the purpose of landing Tu Vishan here was to afford us more time in finding a way to awaken him. I believe a means may be found by utilizing the power of the Xunutane. However, before I go to the heads of the families and the Dexedi with this request, I had hoped to gain both information to see if it is a viable means, and also input and suggestions from other foreigners.

Now something most intriguing occurred while I was making my inquiries- my path crossed with a number of metalworkers who were researching the crystals that caused last month's truth compulsion. I agreed to work alongside them in a number of experiments - one of which involved setting active crystals alongside those that gave no readings. There was a brief reaction in which the "dead" stones gave off a bit of light and I...

[He hesitates here because it's not so much that it sounds absurd, but more he simply doesn't have the words to describe it.]

...I saw many things, all at once. The interiors of caves and homes. It was as though I had hundreds of eyes all in different places.

[To tell the truth, he was rather disoriented after the whole ordeal and needed to go sit down and have a headache.]

Needless to say, the other metalworkers did not share in this vision. I believe it came about due to my soul gem - a hypothesis the metalworkers agreed to be possible, though I would like to repeat the experiment with other foreigners to verify. They have kindly permitted me a secure facility as well as aid in writing up questions.

As I'm sure you've gathered, we would require volunteers for this. I am seeking those willing to sit through the same experiment as myself. I am also looking for people with psychic or magical capabilities for getting a read on things.

I will ask that no volunteers be under the age of eighteen for these experiments as I cannot guarantee there is no risk involved.

If you would prefer more discretion than speaking here, you can contact me privately on this frequency.

I thank you, and bid you all a good evening.

[ Something about the nature of these crystals, as Klaus tells it, sounds suspiciously familiar — and it rouses Gabranth's suspicions too much for him to sit idly by. ]

Ser Reinherz.

I have some capacity for magicks, should you still want for volunteers. More to the heart of the matter, however, I've a wealth of experience pertaining to gems of unusual power... Power not unlike that which you witnessed yourself, I presume.

[ "Wealth" might be a slight exaggeration, but he can't very well set a hook with no bait, can he? ]

I am.

Prior to my arrival here, I had been drawn into a world that was, in essence, governed by a gem of immense power — the Uaine Cridhe... Green Heart, as I was led to understand. It was for this power that numerous factions in this world fell to war, until ultimately the gem shattered, and its many shards were scattered to distant worlds.

[ He pauses there, wondering for just a moment if he should elaborate on the shard that may or may not still reside within his breast, but decides against it. ]

Mere hours before I awoke here... I bore witness to the Uaine Cridhe's reformation. I journeyed deep into its heart, where visions assailed me at every turn — visions that bore a stark resemblance to reality, unlike aught I had ever seen before. Furthermore, I have reason to believe that the great gem's magic is what delivered me to this land.

[ It is a bit much to take in, but that's about the shortest version of it Gabranth has managed so far. ]

Apart from my home world, aye. I was taken first to Allaidh Darach, the world of which I speak, and there I was stranded for two years before finding myself spirited here.

Not as I can recall, no. The visions I saw within it... They were visions of my past — not merely my own, but of those around me as well.

[ He sees no need to comment on the difficulty of his arrival. Instead, he can only think of the gem's power — of the echoing ache in his chest as it pulled him deeper into its depths. ]

In that world, I was granted possession of a jewel not unlike to this world's so-called Soul Gems. [ In a manner of speaking. ] One of the shards of the Uaine Cridhe itself. If this shard holds even a fragment of its former power in this land... I should wonder if it might provoke a similar reaction in the Xunutane.

[ And if it does, might he finally find some way to use its power to return to Ivalice at long last? It's a faint hope, far-flung from any realistic probability, but he can hardly bring himself to ignore it. ]

I would, and gladly. If aught should come to light concerning the nature of this shard, I would be the first to know.

Naturally. I fear the same can hardly be said for the gem of Allaidh Darach.

[ When it comes to proving dangerous, that is. Shardholders with a far greater grasp of its power than he had achieved some fearsome feats with their own shards, after all. ]

Even a single shard such as the one I hold contains a vast well of power, one which many of those like myself have learned to tap. I've not felt its presence since my arrival in this land, but... I've little doubt that this power yet remains.

In truth, I know little more than what I've already shared. I had greater concerns in that world than deciphering the precise nature of the gem itself, or what power it held.

[ Still, perhaps any information at all would prove useful at this point. He thinks on it for a moment. ]

The rulers of Allaidh Darach sought to make the gem whole once more, to use its power to further their own ends, and it was for this purpose that they summoned the shardholders — myself, and countless others — from the far worlds to their own. They called us to war, heedless of our own duties and motivation, that we would strike each other down and gather the shards of the fallen.

[ Does he sound bitter? Maybe just a little. ]

Some days ere my arrival here, I joined forces with those who sought to bring an end to this war, thought I know not if the end result was their desired effect: the massed shards were stolen, and through their combined magicks, were rejoined into the Great Gem made whole. Perhaps the Xunutane possesses similar size or breadth, but the Uaine Cridhe was as a towering mountain in those days, such that its power could be felt across all the land and warped the world entire.

That I do not know. A great battle raged at the foot of the gem, and the shard still in my possession called me into its depths. It was mere moments after I journeyed to the very heart of the gem that I found myself transported here.

If the ruling powers were to be believed, the gem itself was linked to all worlds. But its finer nature is beyond my understanding.

[ Well. He does know a bit more, but he's not quite sure where to begin with the notion that the shards themselves are bound to the existence of entire worlds. Even after two years in the Drabwurld, he's not so sure he fully understands it himself, beyond the simple fact that the loss of his shard would ensure the loss of all Ivalice. ]

[ Gabranth snorts. ]

The fates have hardly been so kind to me that I should be surprised were that to be the case.
