[Later in the evening, some time after River's broadcast, Obi-Wan finally settles himself down at a console and looks a bit tired.]

My apologies for any panic or inconvenience that was caused. My colleagues and I were responsible for the fluctuations earlier.

We attempted to reach Tu Vishan's mind through the Force. While I can assure you he's there, I'm afraid he was unresponsive, aside from what everyone apparently witnessed.

[This is the first time that Padmé's really reached out to either Obi-Wan or Anakin since the big information bomb that was dropped on her about the future. It hasn't exactly been easy for her to digest and she's made it obvious that she's avoiding them both.

However, the power surges are a bit of a big deal since she was in the middle of preparing that night's dinner for the hotel.]

I hope you're all okay, Obi-Wan. A little forewarning would have been nice, but everything is fine at the hotel.

[Yes he knew that Pasme had been avoiding them, and he understood why. This he had allowed her, her space and tried to convince Anakin to do the same. So when she replies to him it's a welcome thing, though he is sure to tread carefully.]

We are all fine, and I will be sure to give advance notice the next time.

[She can tell he has been worried but she's used the time away from most of the Jedi to just think without a million other things going on at the same time. And she's grateful that Anakin has been preoccupied to let her do this as well.]

I'm glad to hear that. Tonight's dinner was nearly ruined.

[She hesitates before asking a question.]

The both of you will be here for dinner, right?

[Theres a pause at the invitation and gives her a small weary smile.]

If that is what you wish I'm certain we can both be there.

[She raises her eyebrow in a teasing gesture.]

I wasn't aware that I was the type to extend invitations I didn't mean, Master Kenobi.

[Obi-Wan chuckled lightly at that.]

No, I suppose you're not. Anakin and I would be delighted to join you for dinner.

[As much as she hates to admit it, it's been too long since she's heard Obi-Wan's laughter, even as slight as it is, and she's pleased to hear it once more.]

Good. Then I expect you promptly when it's ready. Or I might forget to save you both a plate.

My lady, we are many things, but we are never late. We will be there on time, I assure you.
