[Galen didn't usually go out of his way to talk to people to begin with, and even less so Anakin Skywalker, the man who would one day become his Sith Master. That's why when the video clicks on, Galen hesitates for a few seconds before speaking, not entirely sure what to say, or even how to say it.]
I haven't heard from him in a while. Too long, really. I hate to think about it, but he might've gone home.
I'd rather not think about him not being here either. I've barely got this "Jedi" thing figured out, Obi-Wan was...well, he's your Master, but he was giving me advice. Helping me be a better Jedi.
[Galen's so used to loss that he barely questions it, but that doesn't mean he has to like it.]
[Aya's eyes were...slightly wider than usual at this. She suspected, but it was premature to make such an assessment without definitive proof. And yet...]
Is it...uncommon for him to go this duration of time without contacting you?
For certain? I can not collaborate without definitive evidence presented. However, based on past experience, there is a strong possibility that...he has returned to his universe of origin.
[Aya wasn't too fond of the idea, either, but she could not deny that likelihood.]
It would not have been his choice. Of this, I am certain.
Whatever source of power that continued to call and remove individuals from this place...the timing is nearly always sporadic and unpredictable. I have made several attempts to calculate the probability of any given individual's disappearance, but the variables are far too great and catalysts still widely unknown.
The circumstances are nearly as unpredictable as initial disappearances or even appearances...and, currently, they appear to be much rarer in occurrence...but there are multiple noted examples in which one has returned home, only to show up again here at a later time.
[Sometimes, with their previous memories. Sometimes with new ones. Sometimes with...none at all.]
[Aya was...fairly certain that that was not how the Force it worked...but she was not 100% confident in that theory, and as such, said nothing on the matter.]
I...would like to see him again as well. We shared many interesting conversations.
It's not like him. I agree. I'll be there shortly.
[It's a strange reversal of her arrival, but she wastes no time before making her way to their meeting place, her own anxiety shelved in the face of Anakin's obvious distress.
When she sees his familiar form, the first thing she does is throw her arms around him and hold him close. And then, she pulls away to take his hand.]
[Her embrace is something always welcomed no matter the circumstances though this is a dire situation and they need to move quickly.]
Places he uses for meditations. Sometimes he gets lost to the world around him. He likes the quiet, so we'll start there - the quietest places we know.
[She can feel the tension in his body the second she touches him and knows that he won't be able to hold still for long. Getting him busy is the best thing for everyone ever.]
I've just come from the library and he wasn't in any of the public gardens along the way. Perhaps he'd go out of the city? He has Boga and sometimes travels outside to trade and the like. There are a few forests about a hundred meters from the city gates in a few sectors.

[Which is ironic coming from him. It's really that he doesn't want to accept that Obi-Wan is really gone.]

Oh, I'm Galen Marek. I don't think we've ever been introduced.

I'm glad to have another jedi working with me with all the strangeness of this place always going on.

And that worries me a great deal.

However, I can think of another.

[Leave him like this?]

[Even accounting for the two weeks he wasn't at the Hotel.]
Nor has he checked out of the Midnight Hotel, according to my ledger.

[Who does he need to go beat up?]

I am afraid that it is more likely he's returned home. Mr Kenobi seems like the sort who's difficult to kidnap.
no subject
Besides can you tell me for sure that he's gone home or are you just making a guess?
no subject
Have you checked the his status on the console? I believe accounts which are no longer in use may reflect that fact.
no subject
Could it have been broken into and the information erased?
no subject
I have never heard of anyone achieving so. Usually, opening the consoles results in a pile of goo.

I haven't spoken to him in a while now. Which is... not like him. If you want, we can go looking for any signs.
[Padmé tries to smile but it's hard. What if what happened with Kylo Ren occurs again? Precautions can't make up for the loss of a dear friend.]
I'm yours for the day, Anakin.

[She knows a little of their keeping count, but not enough to really have anything to say about it.]
But, the sooner we find him the better. Where are you? I can meet you and then we can head outside the city to look for him.

I can be there in five minutes. Will that be enough for you?

We'd cover more ground if we separated.
