[A dark-haired teenage boy is scowling unhappily into the camera. He sighs heavily and drags a hand through his hair. Somehow it always ended up like this.]

Okay, so let me just get this straight.The giant turtle is actually a thing? Someone isn't just pulling a really elaborate joke on me?

[He sighs.]

Yeah, never mind. Don't even bother answering that. I think I already know the answer.

Could this possibly get any weirder? [He freezes and moans miserably.] ...Oh, great. I think I just jinxed myself.

Yeah, no kidding. I'd think someone was pranking me, but it seems like this is way too much effort for any kind of joke.

I know how you feel, kid. I've been on that road before and I've only just started to get use to the idea. It'll take a while.

I was headed to school. Why?

Just curious.

[Guess it's just something that happens, huh?

Then, he shrugs.]

Guess the bright side about it is that you don't have to worry about anyone back at home.

[Well, it was probably a nice thing for him as he didn't have to worry about his world being conquered by demons while he was here. Even if he missed everyone back at home, it was still nice.]

Oh, right. That no time passing thing. Right?

Has anyone ever seen for sure that that's actually a thing?

[Because he really, really did not want to go home to a city over run with ghosts and Vlad flirting with his Mom. ]

[Suppose he should have asked around, huh? Hadn't crossed his mind.]

We can't do anything about it if it's not, though. Not while we're here, anyways.

I'd still kind of like to know. You know, just to make sure its not one of those nice stories people come up with to make themselves feel better.

[And if he was going to freak out, he preferred to freak out in a more informed context. ]

I'm not gonna stop you from doing that, even if I don't think that's the case. Learning that time froze at home isn't my idea of a nice story. Makes you feel too important to how the world functions.

[Seriously. Even if he liked the idea, he hated the feeling it brought.]

[It wouldn't be the first time time had stopped for Danny. But he couldn't really explain that without explaining that he knew a guy who could rewind and stop time however he wanted.]

I guess we could be the ones who are outside of time instead.

So, what are you going to do now that you're here? It ain't easy figuring it out, I'll be honest.

[Heck, he still didn't quite know.]

I want to learn more about the place. Just to get an idea of what it's like, you know?

[In truth, it was more like he wanted to see if there was anything 'weird' that he should keep in mind while he was here. Beyond the turtle, anyways.]

No clue. I'm still trying to get everything figured out.

Oh, I love school. Wouldn't want to miss a day of all those happy therapy-inducing school memories.
