OOC:
  • Grey - Yorda
  • Blue - China

[The feed comes on and there is Yorda and China Sorrows. The former looks a bit apprehensive and the latter about as pleasantly inscrutable as ever.]

Hello. There is something important that we have to tell you.

We have seen what the cultists have done to the other kedan. They are able to make stones that contain their lives, and pushed them beyond Death and Dreaming. All doors open both ways and they have crossed into the places we came from.

This is something they have hoped to do, something ordered of them. We have seen this.

[She looks to China, hoping that this is correct. China inclines her head briefly, indulgent, and takes over.]

Suffice to say that while something seems to have gone awry with their experiments, the goal appears to have been moving kedan across planes. While it hasn't been done again, our information implies that those who have gone have not come back, and I doubt they plan to abandon their goal.

I shouldn't have to tell any of you that this is a problem. As much as it goes against my nature to suggest the free trade of information, it may be beneficial to pool knowledge and resources to see if there isn't something to be done about cultists toying with lives and planes as they please.

[Yorda gives a small nod of agreement.]

...For the Kedan whose friends have gone missing... I am sorry this has happened to you.

From what little I understand about it, magic is not something to be played with if you don't know exactly what is going to happen. Like playing with dangerous chemicals.

Hm. I suppose we do. Call it wishful thinking.
inkulcation: (i can't have heard you right)

[personal profile] inkulcation 2016-06-24 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
No. It isn't.

[China's very clear on what can go wrong if experimenting while stupid. Fortunately, she is not stupid.]

Wishful thinking. Yes. Certainly our lives would be more convenient if not held in jewelry.

[But experimenting with magic and souls is a little risky.]
purrns: (And their twisted fantasy)

[personal profile] purrns 2016-06-24 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[Never play with magic, guys, that's how people lose hands. ]

It would. But it's very risky, too, you're right. Probably too risky.
inkulcation: (ah. hm.)

audio;

[personal profile] inkulcation 2016-06-27 08:35 am (UTC)(link)
[And souls.]

Oh, likely. Unless one wishes to take the road of experimenting on others.

[She sounds mostly disinterested in that or the moral problems attached, just pointing out the option.]
purrns: (When told to stand straight)

audio;

[personal profile] purrns 2016-06-27 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[This one is all morals, and sounds completely horrified by the very thought of that. ]

But that would be wrong. No one should have their life gambled with just to test that out.
inkulcation: (over there)

audio;

[personal profile] inkulcation 2016-06-28 10:16 am (UTC)(link)
And yet, it will be difficult to test in any other way.

[She's just saying. But it's not something she herself is going to be experimenting with, no.]/small>
purrns: (But I'm only human)

audio;

[personal profile] purrns 2016-06-28 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd rather not have answer at all, if that were the case.
inkulcation: (just a little)

audio; html why did you betray me

[personal profile] inkulcation 2016-06-30 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
And be surprised by whatever terrible fate surely awaits us?

[That's probably sarcasm.]

No; it wouldn't be wise, you're correct.
purrns: (Knives in my heart)

audio; html you need to stop being cruel

[personal profile] purrns 2016-06-30 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's just going to tell himself it's sarcasm to make himself feel better. ]

Yeah. No one's life is worth that.
inkulcation: (over there)

audio;

[personal profile] inkulcation 2016-07-06 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
[And she's categorized him as somewhere between young, naive, and bleeding-heart, ignoring that most people would not support risking lives just for gaining knowledge.]

Was there anything else, darling?

[Since apparently she's giving information away for free today.]
purrns: (I'm through with playing by)

audio;

[personal profile] purrns 2016-07-08 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
[And lo, she has put Adrien Agreste in exactly the correct pigeon hole. ]

Uh...no. Thanks. That's all.
inkulcation: (then she smiled)

not actually here

[personal profile] inkulcation 2016-07-08 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[But it would be so terrible for him if there were feathers.]
