Good evening, everyone.

We have presently been on the shores of Tavimbi for approximately five months and in this time, Tu Vishan has shown signs of waking. Though, as I am sure you know, he remains unconscious.

I propose that we take the next steps in waking him. There have been attempts in the past to contact and awaken him, and though a link was temporarily established not once, but twice, and though Tu Vishan stirred, the link was shortly thereafter broken. I have hypothesized that the reason being was a lack of power, a lack of psychic compatibility, or a possible combination of both.

As some may know, I have been considering the possibility of utilizing the Xunetane for the very purpose of lending a power source and stabilizer to those able to make a psychic or magical connection.

In recent months, Mr Kenobi, his compatriots, the Metalworkers, Miss Valdis, myself and several others have found links between Tu Vishan's energy signature and the one given off by the Xunetane and the associated 'Truth' crystals. Charako has kindly permitted this under the condition that she be there to monitor the energy levels so that nothing... explodes.

[There's a small quirk of a smile at this, as though he'd even consider attempting to use a giant powerful magic rock without the help of Charako's expertise.]

I have also approached the heads of the families about this matter. For now, they have agreed.

I would ask that we set aside present dilemmas, at least as far as the waking of Tu Vishan is concerned, and work together - both Kedan and foreigner. Here we can finalize the details, as well as formulate contingency plans and alternate solutions. I believe all of us are united in the desire to see Tu Vishan awake and healthy.

Thank you, and I bid you all a lovely evening.

This is ridiculous!

[There is a small boy scowling up into the console's video feed with a highly offended expression on his face. Not that it was easy to see that much. Even standing on a stool he is barely tall enough to reach the console.]

There can't be a turtle that big. If it was real it would be completely violating the square-cube law. Even presuming that it was possible for a turtle to grow this big, a biological creature cannot scale up like this. The larger an animal grows, the less its proportional muscle strength. According to that law, this turtle shouldn't even be able to move and there should be severe problems with its cardiovascular and respiratory functions. Even if we factor in the exception for buoyancy in sea creatures, this is still far too big. How is it possible for this to exist?

[Belatedly, he realizes that had been just a tiny bit advanced for an ordinary seven-year-old. He hastily pastes on a bright childish smile.]

I saw a program about it on television once! It was really interesting.

OOC:
  • Grey - Yorda
  • Blue - China

[The feed comes on and there is Yorda and China Sorrows. The former looks a bit apprehensive and the latter about as pleasantly inscrutable as ever.]

Hello. There is something important that we have to tell you.

We have seen what the cultists have done to the other kedan. They are able to make stones that contain their lives, and pushed them beyond Death and Dreaming. All doors open both ways and they have crossed into the places we came from.

This is something they have hoped to do, something ordered of them. We have seen this.

[She looks to China, hoping that this is correct. China inclines her head briefly, indulgent, and takes over.]

Suffice to say that while something seems to have gone awry with their experiments, the goal appears to have been moving kedan across planes. While it hasn't been done again, our information implies that those who have gone have not come back, and I doubt they plan to abandon their goal.

I shouldn't have to tell any of you that this is a problem. As much as it goes against my nature to suggest the free trade of information, it may be beneficial to pool knowledge and resources to see if there isn't something to be done about cultists toying with lives and planes as they please.

[Yorda gives a small nod of agreement.]

...For the Kedan whose friends have gone missing... I am sorry this has happened to you.

[Kevas tires of camping around the outskirts of the city. Tough as a troll might be, he's a jungle troll. All this cold and drizzle eats at him. He wants no more of it. Time to find a place for him to call his own for a while. First thing's first though, he needs money.]

Not sure how to go about dis other den just sayin' it, but I be needin' money and a place to stay. Now don't go thinkin' I be wantin' handouts cause I don't. Last thing I be wantin' is to be in some mon's debt. I be wantin' to work for my stay.

[Kevas tries his best to appear professional but it feels weird going about finding work this way. In Azeroth finding mercenary work is as easy as stepping into town, here not so much.]

I be a mercenary, former soldier, and somethin' of a wanderer.

[He doesn't like using the term 'adventurer'. It sounds too heroic. Kevas knows he's no hero.]

If any mons be needin' protection, a bodyguard, or help with gang problems I be willin' to offer my services for some steady pay. If dere be other services ya be needin' den give me da details and I'll talk to ya.

[After his talk at the Welcome Center he's trying real hard to avoid the 'kill for money' part of his job. Murder might not be a big deal to him but that seems to be a big no no in this place. Last thing he wants right now is a bad reputation. Then he won't get anywhere.

Unless someone wants to pay him extremely well.]

Also, I be wantin' speak with a Pepper Pots or Bakura about some kind of uh...police force?

[The way he says it makes it clear he's not too sure what that is.]

As long as ya ain't be military, and as long as ya be offerin' a fair price, I'd like to talk with some mon about dat.

[Kevas peers at the screen with a skeptical look.]

So dis thing be workin' now yeah?

[Sure he got his very own crash course on this stuff, but doing and watching are two very different things. He trusts this stuff about as much as he does goblin or gnome gadgets.]

First of all, to all potential employers out dere, let me give ya a bit of advice for free. If ya be wantin' to hire a mon, kidnappin' dem ain't be da best way to make first impressions.

[This rant is probably just drifting out into the ether but Kevas doesn't care. He's annoyed. Yelling helps him feel better...kinda.]

Especially when dat mon be a stone's throw away from gettin' his own boat!

[Kevas lets a short, aggressive snort before slumping further into his chair. Then he holds up two clawed fingers.]

Second, I be needin' to know two things: where to get a fishin' pole and some decent liquor. Not great, not swill, just decent. Dat be it.

[His arms fold across his chest and he gives the screen a hard stare. Only a few moments later he starts feeling awkward. It's a whole lot easier talking to people in person.]

So...yeah.
