Bit chilly in these parts, wouldn't you agree?
Niceties aside, I thought it best to get this out the way.
I've set up a bit of a garage outside my flat. Nothing fancy, mind, but I daresay a little work will spruce it up in no time. Now, you lot all seem busy, so I won't waste your time with needless prattling.
My services are up for hire.

In my world, I'm an engineer by trade. I specialize in aircraft, particularly those run on Glossair engines. However, I've yet to run across any machines that I haven't been able to fix. So to summarize, if you need something built or repaired, I'm your man. No questions asked.
Though, as with all things, quality and discretion do not come for free.

I'm not familiar with astromechs, though give me a couple hours with anything and I could probably work them out. If I'm to go by the name, they sound like machines used in space?
[He had been surprised, initially, by space travel. But it has since worn off. Now he just wants to play with their tech. 'Space Pirate' has a really nice ring to it.]

Astromechs are droids designed to assist pilots and serve as an automated mechanics on starships. I already know how to build a basic model, I was asking you because I've been wondering if there were any of them around. So far I had no luck at all.

They are sentient A.I., not just machines, and most have distinctive personalities. My Astromech is called BB-8, it's one of a kind and not just because it's really good with a taser.

It's a BB units, astromech, it looks like a ball with a doomed head. Mostly white but with orange and silver parts, as well as a black photoreceptor.

I've worked in an oblique way with all of those except the cloaking devices, but my real expertise is robotics. I was wondering if we had another robotics engineer here, that's all.
