So, hey...

[Hey, Keelial. Remember him? He looks a lot more tired than before, his hair is ruffled and his shirt looks partly undone. It looks like he's sat in the College.]

Anyone noticed the pattern on the Turtle's shell? It's... pulsing. It started like... three? Four days ago? The time between the pulses is getting shorter.

I'm not sure what this means, but... hey. It sounds important, right? I've done some math and, well... I think... [Yawn.] ...I think the pulses are gonna stop in a week or so. If the period between them keeps getting shorter.

Assuming that's what this is.

We sure it's the turtle waking up? For all I know it could be counting down to it exploding or something.

According to what others have said, he used to glow all the time. Unless he's being possessed again...then you could be right.

Glow, or pulse? Because he's glowing regardless.

Either way, I couldn't speculate.

[ She pauses before shaking her head. ]

Nope. No one said anything about pulsing. Just a steady glow like the one that started a few weeks ago.

As for speculating... Well, I really don't think it's anything bad. From what I heard about Malicant--giving a warning wasn't their style.

Well, it might not be Malicant. Evil exists in other forms.

You mean like in pulsing lights with pulsing that gets faster?

[ She shakes her head. ]

Can you name the last evil person who gave an unexplained countdown to their intended victims?

I'm not exactly familiar with that person. What did they do? Other than give a countdown, that is?

Yep. Luckily, we could do it. Looking back on that incident, it was kinda insane.

It doesn't matter if he kept his promise. He went on to do a lot worse.

So, he threw a fit because you called his bluff and upped the ante. No wonder you're suspicious of whatever's going on.

But no demand's been made, nothing unusual has happened. [ Well, other than glowing turtle things. ] I'm willing to trust those who have more experience about this than I do.

And they feel it's all right.

Really? Well, as long as someone knows what's going on, 'cause they sure as hell ain't said anything about it.
