[He had spent the better portion of the day wandering around the city. Ducking and diving between crowds of people, and doing his best to stay out of the spotlight - which was far harder than he'd like to admit being a 'foreigner' decked out in futuristic space armor.
Needless to say, after having spent a good few hours gathering intel and having a constant stream of people talking to him about what to expect while he was stuck here (among other things), being able to sit down was a small blessing in and of itself. Something that those watching the camera's feed might be able to pick up on, as the ODST carefully leaned back in his chair, and stared up at the cafe's ceiling with a lengthy sigh.]
"Can't say I'm pleased to be here, but it's an upgrade from magical books." [Then again, giant turtles aren't really swinging in the opposite direction. Something he knows, but he'll hold his tongue on that.]
"Would say I'm impressed by how you guys have this whole welcoming stuff down to a science, but I'm still trying to comprehend most of it. Even then, there's usually a lot more going on than what's on the complimentary pamphlet."
[It's then that his visor lowers towards the screen, and a tick of silence passes by, before he's shifting forwards to properly address those behind it.]
"So, straight to the point; is there anything around here that I should be wary of? Threats, dangers, etcetera."

[Fletch definitley sounds serious.]
Depending on the strain, it's fatal.

Well then, sir, what do you suggest I do? If by some small chance I am infected.

So, what? No cure then? Imagine a lot of new arrivals tend not to live for very long, if that's the case.
[Oddly enough... he doesn't seem too concerned. Whether it's because he has a really good poker face, or simply not worried about his own welfare, was hard to tell.]
no subject
[No concern? That's fine, Fletch'll just keep playing it up for a bit...]

[A thought that he's obviously making clear he's not fond of. Disease or not, it still means he has to take off his armor in a new, foreign place. And that in and of itself was something that wouldn't be done so easily.]

Y'know, I was expecting a bit more of a reaction from the infectious disease angle.
no subject
In my line of work, getting killed by a disease is almost a mercy. Nice try though.

[He'll relax, however, and lean backwards in his chair once more.]
Why are you so persistent on medical exams, though? There a reason?
no subject
[His tone says 'Keep up'.]
no subject
[He gets it now, though.]

Anyway, I'm Nurse Fletcher, head of Nursing at the Healer's Guild.

You can call me Rookie, though. Antics aside, it's nice to meet you.

[He's more than happy to sell Raine in the best possible light.]
There is a hospital, but it's expensive. The Guild always tries to make sure emergency care, at least, is free. Elective surgeries incur a mandatory donation to the Guild, however.

[Which, knowing him, tends to happen quite often. Provided he isn't being careful about what situations he throws himself into. Still, it's comforting to hear there's something like that around.]
What's the location? Is it in the same sector as the hotel?
no subject
I also have a first aid room in the hotel.
