Lately I've had a lot of time to think, and there is something I have been wondering about. We get to meet people from other worlds, or people who are dead to us, but there is no stability to the bonds built here. Foreigners are randomly brought to this place and taken away.

Yet some of us have been here for years, they watched many come and go. How do you go about this? I dislike the uncertainty. You can't plan for anything.

It isn't easy. I, too, dislike the uncertainty. It took me a while to learn there are some things we just can't control...no matter how much we want to.

Death to me. To them, a return to life as it should be. It's hard to figure out if you should mourn for someone who hasn't actually died.

Really? That's unfortunate. There's something comforting in routine, but it doesn't promote growth. Or creativity, or the desire to learn, for that matter. What do you live for, then? What drives you, if not the chance for new experiences?

You say that like people don't do the same in our own worlds. What's so certain about your world that you can plan for it?

[Aya was not familiar with this Han Solo individual on a personal level, but she was familiar with the situation as a whole. Having been through a strikingly similar parallel herself before:]

There was...a Green Lantern besides myself. Hal Jordan. His was the first presence I can recall ever processing. I learned much from him.

[In some ways, he was like a father figure to her. Far more than the creator(s) she could not remember.]

Two version of him have appeared in Keelai since my arrival. Neither of them were the version I had known in my universe of original. And neither of them are here any longer.
