[Zatanna is seen sitting at the desk in her room, looking contemplative about something. She has a pencil in one hand, idly chewing on the eraser in between moments of inspiration. Whatever she was drawing seems to have her mystified, though the actual drawing was just beyond the view of the camera.]
[Behind her, the open window lets in a faint breeze that stirs her hair. She starts to say something multiple times before the words finally make it out, unusually cautious and deliberate.]
Okay, by now, I'm pretty sure we all know the mainland does something to those of us with powers. But I was wondering...does anybody's feel...I don't know...different since coming here? On the turtle, I mean. Like...[another pause]...like maybe it's coming from a different place? Or works a little different than it used to?
[And, because she knows people will ask, she ends with a very nonchalant shrug.]
Just curious, is all.

So...you said your powers were pretty straight-forward here, on the turtle. What about on the mainland?

[Atlantis doesn't make much of a distinction between science and magic, so Nita's comfortable with the idea of needing to do city planning because of ley lines or what have you.]

It's possible.
Obviously, there's something special about this place that we can still use our powers here, but not down there.

[Nita's obviously thinking hard. She herself isn't a magician or scientist, but she's bright and spends most of her time having adventures or hanging out with other adventurers.]
Maybe the physical laws of this universe don't allow powers, and this place is an exception? Like how you can breathe in the Blue Area of the Moon.
[Her most recent adventure involved multiple supervillains attempting to rewrite the laws of reality to suit themselves, so the idea is floating around the front of her mind.
Also the Moon totally has a Blue Area where you're from, right?]

Actually, I'd say this place is the most "natural" I've ever been to.
