So, assuming I got my months right, we just started a new year!
It's a big cultural celebration where I come from.
Does anyone have plans? I was thinking of trying to make a party. We usually celebrate on the first New Moon of the year.

[She asked, mostly out of curiosity, before adding:]
Not that I'm turning down an excuse for a party either way. I think it sounds like a great idea.

We just call it New Years in Yellow Comet.
I think most of the other nations do that - celebrate on the first midnight. But we have our own traditions.

[One in particular came to mind from her own world, but...there wasn't really anyone she felt like celebrating it with at the moment, so little point in bringing it up unless someone else did first.]

We also send out postcards to all our friends and families.
Unfortunately there's no participating temples here, and I don't know anyone outside of Keeliai.

We tend to go all out for New Years. Parades, fireworks, tons of food and decorations. There's definitely a lot of alcohol involved.
[ Sonja is a super lightweight with booze. ]

They don't have much in the way of professional sports teams here, do they?

What kind of party you throwin'?
no subject
I'm not sure if I could convince too many local Kedan establishments to throw in behind a foreigner holiday, but it can't hurt to try, I guess.

Can I help?

She's really tempted to just say 'yeah, don't come.' >:[ ]
Maybe! What kind of skills do you have besides stabbing people in the back?
[ Okay, that could have been phrased better. ]

You're not even the slightest bit regretful of throwing me under the bus like that, are you?
