[It's been a weird day.

She had been exploring the mainlands with Hellboy, then suddenly she's being dragged out of the ocean and being treated like fresh meat by the kedan. Then she was brought back to a newly rebuilt EA-1A - but they weren't done rebuilding it yet - and left home to think about what had just happened.

So far? It's been confusing. And she's still confused, which is why she's got the video turned on so she can address everybody here.]

Out of curiosity, have the kedan been acting weird to anyone else? I just got fished out of the ocean and was given the newbie treatment even though I've been here for months.

That, and it seems a lot of things have changed without much time in between. [She'd mention her building, but... that's still a sore spot.]

I don't remember drinking anything strong enough on the mainland to make me black out, but that wouldn't be the first time things didn't make any sense around here.

Though what sort of things have changed? [Because that part's weird, and wouldn't Liz remember dying?]

No, I know what dying feels like. That wasn't it. [But in regards to that last question...]

EA-1A. They were in the middle of rebuilding it, but suddenly it's as good as new. Unless I somehow managed to black out for a couple of weeks, it doesn't really add up.

[But she frowns a little.] Supplies from the mainland finally sped along the process. They spent most of the month rebuilding. It has been over a month since we first made landfall - or do you not recall that?

As far as I remember, we'd only been at the mainland for a little over a week.

It's been a bit longer than that, I'm afraid. We've since left and are once more swimming, so to speak. What was the last thing you remember?

[She's done as much digging as she can about Clint Barton's death, and the way Liz is describing her experience isn't congruent with that, especially since Steph hasn't seen Liz in a while (she makes sure to keep track of her suite mates, even if they aren't suite mates any longer)]

You don't remember anything between when you were on the mainland and waking up in the ocean?

Nothing. I was there, and then I was being dragged back on the turtle.

Maybe the Emperor knows why it happened, but you'd have to wait until the next audience to ask.

Liz? Jeez! Where the hell have you been? Last thing I knew you disappeared on the mainland. Figured the Emperor probably threw you back.

[He's been running himself ragged searching that horrible place for weeks. Looked over the whole damn island, too. Even after he started to believe she went home. After that it just became something to do, and he was just too damn stubborn to quit. But now she's back and man, is he glad to see her face again.]

Huh. [He might actually know the answer to that.] I've been asking around. Seems like most people who vanish get sent back to their world. Something about the Emperor deciding she's done with them. But you think you'd at least remember going back.

I'd definitely remember going back. [Considering everything that had been happening.]

But yeah, there's just... nothing to remember. Mainland, and then back in the ocean.

[He thought you were gone for good, and after all that time apart, he forgot how hard it was not having her around. When she disappeared again, it made her absence that much harder.]

[Not having much luck with the inhabitants of this... turtle, he's had to go digging for information elsewhere. And this sounds like the place to start. He situates himself and offers an apologetic, though friendly smile.]

You mean the kedan gave you no clue about what could've happened to you? Now there's a surprise. They really aren't very chatty, are they?

Not really. They basically repeated the same thing they told me when I first arrived a while back.

Like a broken record. [He hadn't been here long and he was already tired of the secrecy.] So, you say you've been here for months? About how long?

Before this point, it had been around three months.

Three months and no one's heard any specifics of why we've been brought here or what's really going on? That's not very comforting.

[A split second passes before he realizes he should explain his line of questioning.]
