But on to his other business. Sherlock's disappearance had once again left Conan in the position of being an eight-year-old with no caretaker. Even here he couldn't hold an apartment by himself. Which left him with very few options.]

Is anyone looking for a roommate? I have an apartment, but I don't think I'll be allowed to stay here by myself.

It's fine. I guess I'm getting used to people leaving here. I used to have three roommates, and they're all gone now. And the first person I stayed with left too.

Sometimes, I wonder if the people who come and go aren't as random as they seem.

...of course, I've never been able to find any evidence to suggest otherwise. But it's a thought that comes to mind every now and again.

I think...based on my experience...it has something to do with the people who are already here. The people who are chosen next. Maybe not so much that they come from the same world--nobody from mine's ever showed up, as far as I know--but...also as far as I know, we've always managed to make some kinds of connection with others.
