Something was brought to my attention recently.  I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner, but it could be really important.

Allergies.

Is there anyone here who has them?  Of things from home, or maybe of something you've realized you're allergic to here.  Plants...food...metals...I'm curious to know.

[Yeah, that right there told her...maybe not everything, but enough. She slowly put her pen down and managed a feint smile. Humor, particularly when she was serious about something, had never been her strong suit. But she could appreciate the light-heartedness of the moment.]

I'm relieved to hear that. It does sound serious.

If they're there to be found, yes.

I don't even care if I'm the first or fiftieth person to discover them. The point is that I learn so I'll know, in the event I ever need to help someone. That's why I took up herbalism in the first place, after all.
