[Midii's lips were pursed together in concentration when the screen turned on, eyes turned downward. The tip of a writing utensil could be seen moving as she jotted down one last note before looking up.]
Something was brought to my attention recently. I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner, but it could be really important.
Allergies.
Is there anyone here who has them? Of things from home, or maybe of something you've realized you're allergic to here. Plants...food...metals...I'm curious to know.

Yeah, I ran into a flower here that I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to. Seems like it was similar to one back home.
[Allergies, being a ghost around anti-supernatural flowers. Same thing really. ]

Do you know what kind of flower it's called here? And what it looks like?

[She's mostly joking and besides, Midii did not fit that profile.]

What exactly is 'dumhet'?

[She smiles.]</small. Don't worry, I know you don't have it.

[She shook her head. In hindsight, her eagerness could have been misinterpreted as either a sense of urgency or recent slight, but she was only very intently focused on her latest subject of study.]
At the ball, I was talking with a friend about the flower arrangements she helped me pick out, and she brought up allergies. It made me realize I hadn't even considered the possibility when I was setting up, and since I'm supposed to be studying herbalism, I thought it was something I should know more about.

Perhaps the Healer's Guild might provide you with a list of common allergens in this world?

I don't think I've heard of that before. Is it a type of plant?
Audio
Well, it goes by several names. Wolfsbane, aconite, and monkshood. All the same, really. I haven't run into it here.

Why is it so important?

[In fact, she would have recovered much sooner if he hadn't offered a list with multiple options. The fruits were a familiar type of allergy--she could vaguely recall someone from her childhood mentioning their allergy to some kind of berries--but she had never heard of anyone allergic to poppy before. Nodding to herself as she mouthed a few words inaudibly, she lowered her gaze and added the notes to her journal as she spoke.]
It's part of my field of study.
If I'm going to learn how to use plants to help people, it would make sense to know how to avoid hurting them in the process.
Re: video;
[ Nothing against magical healers, but a balance would be better. ]
Poppy isn't the default treatment for pain anymore, so it hadn't come up.

[Also, Valdis already made that joke.]

[ Hey, she doesn't speak kedanese very well...if at all. ]
Then, as far as I know, I don't have any allergies...oh, wait...would becoming dizzy after taking a medicine be an allergy? Or just a reaction?

I've heard of that one, specifically, before. Someone else mentioned fruits, too, which makes me wonder just how common it is for people to develop an allergy to them.

That might be an exaggeration. But I'm lactose intolerant, which I'm not sure counts as an 'allergy allergy' or not. I've also got non-celiac gluten intolerance.
More serious allergies are a few varieties of tree nuts, but not peanuts, thank god. But it's pretty serious if I do eat any of those, which is why I carry epinephrin.
...and I just realized that I might need to do something about replacing that in the long term.
Video
[That was...quite a list.]
You didn't think of it before now? Something like that's pretty important, if your allergies are as serious as it sounds.
