[Midii's lips were pursed together in concentration when the screen turned on, eyes turned downward. The tip of a writing utensil could be seen moving as she jotted down one last note before looking up.]
Something was brought to my attention recently. I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner, but it could be really important.
Allergies.
Is there anyone here who has them? Of things from home, or maybe of something you've realized you're allergic to here. Plants...food...metals...I'm curious to know.

[She shook her head. In hindsight, her eagerness could have been misinterpreted as either a sense of urgency or recent slight, but she was only very intently focused on her latest subject of study.]
At the ball, I was talking with a friend about the flower arrangements she helped me pick out, and she brought up allergies. It made me realize I hadn't even considered the possibility when I was setting up, and since I'm supposed to be studying herbalism, I thought it was something I should know more about.

A few Kedan showed mild allergic reactions to the coffee we serve at the hotel. Does that, perhaps, help?

...it might.
That's the kind that kept randomly appearing in the cupboards, right? Not anything grown in any of the gardens.

I'm not entirely sure what I would find...or if it would tell me anything if I couldn't find anything...
[She was starting to almost ramble, which was strange for her. Like she were on to a theory that she didn't fully know how to voice.]

Perhaps you will find something, perhaps not. So much of research is hitting various walls - It is still worth a try though, no?

Sometimes, even not finding an answer can be a kind of answer.
[...granted, not always, and that didn't make it any less frustrating to learn. But it was a means of deductive reasoning, and a method she had learned from a former teacher.]

I've found this very often to be true, provided one tempers it with a healthy dose of skepticism and is actually keen on getting to the bottom of matters.

[What a coincidence.]
