[Victor looks a little annoyed when he turns on his console tonight. Behind him, the view of his suite is blocked by some rock. A big, talking rock to be exact. Santo's right there behind him.]

Hey, everyone. I've got a question for everyone that's familiar with superheroes. It's about the costumes. They're an important thing to have, right? For a lot of reasons like protecting and hiding secret identities.

But this guy [He jerks a thumb over his shoulder at Santo.] just says they're stupid.

Don't get me wrong, the costumes are cool but that's about it. Wearing one just to hide your identity is what's stupid. You don't see Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, or Hawkeye worried about people knowing who they are. Hell, Luke Cage doesn't even wear a costume and he kicks all kinds of ass!

Besides, you don't see any X-Men hiding behind a mask.

[Victor just rolls his eyes.]

Lots of X-Men have worn masks. [He shakes his head.] So what do you guys think? Costumes important for superheroes or not?

The answer is obviously not.

[Victor doesn't even bother replying. He just gives Santo a look.]

It counts. And it did them plenty of good until the cover was blown.

[He huffs, obviously kind of annoyed and bothered by something about this topic now.]

It's not like they weren't attacked less because of it. It's not like people still didn't die because of what we are.

[Victor pauses, frowning a moment. He can pick up on Santo's mood pretty easily. A little consideration and he turns on some encryptions.]

No, being secret didn't stop people from getting killed. But attacks on the school increased when it went public, Santo...

What's wrong, man?

[Santo just piggybacks on Victor's encryptions because he doesn't know how to do that yet.]

Nothing's wrong. It doesn't matter... I mean, it's not like things would be any different if were still secret.

Don't try to nothing me, Santo. Now what's wrong?

I'm just... Thinking, okay? [Never a good thing.]

Thinking about what, Santo? [He agrees completely.]

Just... It's stupid, okay? I'm just remembering people we used to know.

[Vic sighs.] It's not stupid to think about them. I miss them all too...

I just wonder, you know, I know it wouldn't for the ones like you and me. But what if things had stayed secret at the school?

It probably would have been different. A lot of us probably would have never even ended up at the school if it stayed secret.

So it's better that it went public, then?

It's more that I'm saying I might not have ever met any of you if the school didn't go public. I'm not sure I would have ended up there otherwise.

But is that for the better or the worse, dude?

Despite all the crap that's happened and all the stuff I wish didn't...yeah. My life would have been worse off if I hadn't met you, Megan, Northstar, and the others.

So it's a good thing that the school went public. Because... Yeah, I probably wouldn't have ended up there either. And I'd be bored out of my mind.

The school going public had it's good sides and bad sides just like Utopia and the new school.

THere was a good side to Utopia?

Oh, c'mon. Living on a private island that used to be a space station was cool even if the rest was sucky. And when we weren't being thrown under every bus in the city by Summers, we had good times as full X-men.

I guess it was nice when we weren't busy building crap on it, repairing crap on it, or being soldiers, but that didn't happen often. I don't miss that place.

I don't miss it either but it wasn't all bad. Things in San Francisco were better before certain people started showing up to ruin things.

Yeah, okay, I'll admit that San Francisco was probably the best place we lived... You know, even though it was San Francisco.
