[So this is awkward. Liz has never been very good at talking about business beyond "what do you need me to burn". Handling everyone as a group was always Kate's thing - but Kate isn't here, and Hellboy's skills with rounding people up usually leave something to be desired. So she's just going to put on her best poker-face and do this.

Thankfully, she's always been good at keeping a straight face.]

I'm sure something everyone's noticed about this place is that there's no shortage of paranormal things going on. Some of you may be used to it, while others probably aren't.

For those of you that don't know me, I'm Agent Elizabeth Sherman, and back home I work for the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Our job was to research, monitor, and investigate paranormal happenings around the world. ... And defend mankind from it, whenever it came to that. [Which it did. Very frequently.]

Considering the nature of this place, I thought it would be wise to try and put together something similar over here. That way the next time something happens, we'll have a group ready to take care of the problem without having to worry about civilians and other non-combatants getting caught up in the mess.

Of course, it's the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. So along with fighters, we'll need people with knowledge of the paranormal - and who could maybe help with looking into finding more information about the nature of the things found in this world - people who can keep records of what's already happened... office kind of stuff, basically. [She does paperwork when she has to, but it's not her forte, okay.]

If you're interested, let me know your experience with this sort of thing and what you're planning to contribute, and we can work something out.

Kara Zor-El. You ever met her?

I can't say I have, though I'm fairly certain I've seen her over the consoles.

She seems sweet enough. She's more interested in the information side of things, so I figured this could work out well enough if she joins in.

Excellent. You can't go wrong with that.

[Then she nods, gives Liz a brief smile.] Yes, I'll be over soon.

[And Liz will just go ahead and get everything ready for when Peggy and Kara arrive.]

[Peggy's prompt, like usual. She shows up with a handful of notes, collected easily within the last hour - but considering her suite's next door to Liz's, it's not a very long trip to make. She knocks twice, politely.]

[ Kara took her time walking over, since she had an hour to kill. By the time she makes it over it's about the right time she figures. She doesn't have a watch. But seeing someone else knock on the right door is promising. ]

Is this Agent Sherman's room?

[Peggy looks over when she hears someone approaching, and when the other woman speaks, she smiles a little.]

Yes, it is. Kara Zor-El, I take it?

Yes. [ Kara smiles. She's in the right place, that's a good start. And they have a few seconds for introductions before Agent Sherman opens the door. ] She didn't tell me your name.

[She holds out her free hand.] Agent Peggy Carter. It's a pleasure to meet you.

[And Liz will go ahead and open that door.]

Hey. I guess I don't have to introduce you two now? [She steps aside.]

Anyway, come on in. I've got tea.

[ Kara shakes her hand briefly before turning to Agent Sherman. ]

I guess not. [ She steps aside to let Agent Carter enter first. ]

[Peggy offers Liz a slight smile for greeting, then steps inside with a nod at Kara. Despite knowing Liz well enough to not be wary, she still cases the room - it's the first time she's been in the newly rebuilt suite, too.]

[But she waits for them to file in, waits to see where Liz directs them.]

[Liz just gestures to a nearby couch as she heads for the kitchen.]

Have a seat, I'll be there in just a second.

[ And Kara trails in last, taking a seat as instructed. She too has scoped out all of the possible escape routes, although the chances of her being overpowered and needing to escape are pretty minimal. ]

[Peggy sits down, too, setting what she's brought on the empty space beside her. She offers Kara a friendly smile, but she's hesitant to start any small talk that's liable to be interrupted by Liz's return.]

[Liz quickly returns with a pot of tea and some cups, taking a moment to sit down before she starts pouring.]

Thanks for coming. Both of you.

Those were the notes you were talking about, right, Peggy?

[ Kara smiles back, quiet and a little uncomfortable. Is she supposed to say something? No? Thankfully Agent Sherman comes back with tea and the moment is over. ]

Notes?

[She nods at Liz, then looks to Kara.]

I've made some notes on various aspects of life and culture on the turtle - including the paranormal Liz is looking for with regards to the Bureau she wants to start. Though you could probably argue the majority of the happenings on the turtle are something of a supernatural nature.

It definitely could, but for now let's focus on what's already happened. Aside from us all being brought here, there was the ghost infestation a couple of months ago. I know there were monsters on the mainland, too, but I was... absent for that time.

[ Kara keeps quiet. She hasn't been here long enough to know about any of this, and suddenly she feels both out of place and out of her league. ]

[Before really delving, she turns back to Kara. She picks up on those feelings, at least in the sense that the other woman's a little lost.]

How long have you been here yourself? The excursions to the mainland were roughly two months ago, at this point.

[A quick glance at Liz.] I encountered the monsters there - the llothi.

I heard about those, but never actually saw them. Have there been any ways to deal with them? [She glances back at Kara, not wishing to continue leaving her out of the conversation.]

Were you here for the arrival at the mainland?
