[ hey all you projections (people that were kidnapped from their home worlds) ariadne has been thinking (not a shock there) and she has a few things she would like to ask.

Zombies… well that was interesting. [ her sarcasm can be oh so fun at times. ] I didn't really think 'night of the living dead' would be something that a turtle and some random world would be capable of.

[ she just sighs, rolling her eyes slightly as she moves on to the actual point of this post. ]

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has a map of this place – something they could share. [ a short pause, her brow arching in a hopeful curiosity. ] Given that this place really is unknown to so many of us, I thought it might be a good idea to have something like that to refer back to when a situation like the last arose.

[ not that she wanted one to happen like that again (she really isn't cut out for fighting zombies after all) it just seemed like a good idea for location understanding, as well as planning. ]

Also, I'm wondering if there is a system set up for us all to communicate in times of crisis – an emergency broadcast system of sorts. A way for us all to know what we need to do if anything ever happens. [ yes, she is well aware that people have the network, and that they are all doing what they can to help, but she really just wants to see how all the projections organize here. ]

So that's about all I have for now.

I know I may not know as much as I could about this place, but I'm trying to learn what I can and would really appreciate any help I could get here.

I've got overhead maps of the area, it was for the zoning permits for my warehouses originally but I'd be glad to share them.

As for communication - several people have tried, but it's almost impossible to build anything that gets any sort of range here. The consoles really are our best bet.

Well, technically the living dead should be possible anywhere that there's life and death, because theoretically there are over 390 ways for the dead to be reanimated if you count genetics and normal stuff. If you add magic, then- heh. [He shrugs.] I don't even know. Probably a thousand?

The point is, if you're not looking to completely restart higher brain functioning--[He gestures one way]--in order to create a zombie that can function physically--[He gestures the other way]--then it's not actually about life. The ones here didn't seem to be alive, they were just reacting physically to biological impulses within certain criteria to achieve a certain goal.

It's common sense. I mean, they don't know that much about genes right now, but it seems like it could really have a lot of ways to trigger some kind of reverse-decomposition and the rest of it's pretty much just electricity and muscle reactions.

Didn't your biology teacher ever shock a frog? I mean, mine didn't, but my sister said hers did one time. He got fired, so I think that's why Mr. Monnitoff never tried it.

It might be. [ seriously, she isn't going argue with that point. ] But I figured if we could at least start to try and work together...maybe get some answers, things might be easier to understand here.

And hey, maybe we could actually find a way home while we were at it.

I know a few of us apparently still have a hard time understanding each others languages...any suggestions?

There's some documents on the library, maybe you'd find some sort of map in that place- but I was told a lot of the information was burned down. Can't imagine its state will be much better after the whole... undead thing.

The closest to emergency broadcast we have are the network.

It's an option. [ a slow nod, her hand rubbing at the back of her neck as she does. ] I just think with how little all of us know here, having some type of warning system might be nice - it would at least give us a chance. [ a beat ] Because cause I don't know if it is just me...but the Kedans really aren't that helpful when things happen.

[Here, Ariadne, have an attachment of a computer drawn map of the city. It's a rough outline more than anything, with only the most important places marked (the palace, police stations and medical services, the Foreigner compounds, schools, etc) but it's better than nothing.]

Does that help at all?
