[Someone looks really exhausted and ticked off for only just having arrived in the city. He's also still in his super-gear, green and white spandex covering his body and his goggles pushed up onto his forehead. His white hair looking like it's had a frustrated hand shoved through it more than a few times.]

Wow, okay, this place seriously needs to invent something faster than that stupid cart I just had to sit eternity in, because wow that was the worst three days of my life. And look, I get it. You guys don't even have to pretend to play along. This is some dumb initiation thing for the Avengers ain't it? You got Doc Strange all up in this to test our superhero strength or something. I mean I thought we kinda did a good job already, but whatever, I guess that's why you're a Captain and I'm a... what do they call the ones under Captains? Cadet sounds way too gay...

[he thinks for a few milliseconds, before scrunching his nose up and giving up, looking back at the camera.]

But no, seriously, the cart ride was totally enough initiating can you just get to the point so I can go get a pizza? Or do I really have to play your stupid game? Because I'm seriously not in the mood after you made me sit forever on a stupid cart and now I'm practically starving here!

[he goes to turn off the console, but then realises that he should probably at least say something else.]

If it's not Cap, I'm blaming you, Wiccan. You better be here too so I can kick your butt.

Oh.

[She blinks. Speed and speed theory are two very interesting areas of science, given her father's line of work, but even just considering the phenomena is...]

Oh my.

[He's grinning.]

Seriously, just name a place, and I can be there in seconds.

All right. Um... Fire Sector, suite 1A?

On my way, gorgeous.

[he cuts the feed. And it's apparent he's not lying. It takes him a few extra minutes because he's still feeling the effects from entering this place and he doesn't know where anything is, but it's not very long before he's knocking on the door.]

[She's actually startled by the knock on the door, even if she was expecting him. But she does get up and open it, her expression clearly impressed.]

Wow. That's amazing! Are you sure you don't just... live next door or anything?

[oops teasing.]

[he's standing there, still dressed head to toe in his super hero gear, looking smug as anything. His hair is a little mussed up, but it's sort of in a perpetual mussed up state anyway, and when she speaks he can't help but grin. She's even prettier in real life.]

I'm pretty sure of it. I mean, my place is a treehouse.

[She holds out her hand.]

Show me?

[Yes she is asking for a lift. Because that's amazing and Asami has always loved pushing boundaries. She's never lost a race, not in a car, and if there's something that can go faster than that? She doesn't care about the dangers or the fact that she barely knows him.]

[Wow, okay. He's really starting to like this girl. She sort of reminds him of Kate a little, in that, badass super hot chick kind of way. And any girl who liked speed was good in his books. He can't help but smirk at her, and instead of taking her hand, he scoops her up in one, quick fluid motion so he's carrying her bridal-style, before she even has a chance to complain.]

You might want to hold onto something.

Just don't drop me!

[But she's laughing as she says it. Fearless.

She points at her desk, near the door.]

And let me grab my goggles first? If you're wearing them that's probably a sign.

I never dropped anyone.

{he glances up when she points, and before she's even finished her sentence they are at the desk and he's shifting so she can reach for the goggles, still holding her in a firm grip. She's got goggles too? Wow. This chick.]

Yeaah, they're helpful when you're going faster than the speed of sound.

You better not start with me.

[It's playful enough, but there's a warning there too. Just a bit. And then-- streeeeeeeeetch! Yes, got 'em. She tugs the goggles on over her hair and sets them into place, and flashes him a thumbs up.]

You gonna let me lock my door?

[Asami will be able to feel him fidgeting, like a racehorse ready to get running but being stopped by a barrier, and he grins down at her, raising an eyebrow.]

Was that a threat? [he can't help but laugh a bit, because this is still pretty playful, and when her thumbs are up he's back by the door in a sudden rush of air. He rolls his eyes like it's some great big inconvenience, mostly joking, and leans forward to let her lock the door, his hands shifting to get a better grip on her.]

I guess. You got anywhere you wanna go? Or d'you just wanna see my treehouse.

[Even that small rush of speed is breathtaking. Almost literally. Her smile is completely genuine.]

Is there anywhere you haven't been yet? Let's go there.

[Tommy loves impressing people, especially pretty ladies, so that smile is enough to get him stupidly smiling back at her.]

I can think of a few places. [And the moment that she locks that door, they're off in a blur. He's going slower than he normally would, thanks to the additional weight and he's never sure if running as fast as he can with a passenger was ever a good idea with all the g-force and the possibility of crashing into something. But it'll still be far faster than Asami has ever gone.

He comes to a sudden stop near the base of a set of mountains, near the rear of the turtles massive shell and carefully puts Asami down, making sure she didn't fall over.]

Still think I live next door?

[Excuse her, going that fast is sort of hard for someone to process when their top speed hasn't gone much past a hundred kilometres an hour, given the technology of her age.

She blinks a little, and puts her hand out against Tommy's shoulder for support, given that her balance is still sort of adjusting. She feels-- completely exhilarated. And more than that - free. It's the exact same feeling she felt standing up in the back seat of one of her father's satomobiles, laughing at the wind in her hair while her mother fussed over her seat-belt.]

That was... incredible. I can't even--

[oops her tone is getting giddy. She just flashes him a brilliant smile.]

Thank you.

[His hand does slide down to her waist when she reaches out for him, just to giver her extra support of course, and he gives her a genuine smile. It's hard for other people to get what his running means to him. It gives him freedom, he can just go anywhere whenever he wanted to and he didn't have to be tied down by anyone or anything that wasn't his choice. Every time he pushed himself faster and faster, it only got more thrilling every time. You'd think he'd get used to it, but he'd never get tired of it.]

It's great, ain't it? I can go faster than that. Way faster.

[he smiles right back at her. It's nice to know that someone else appreciated the rush you got from going so fast that your skin stung and your eyes watered. Especially her.] Anytime, seriously.

But how? Is it... something like magic? [the closest equivalent to 'bending' she's heard in Keeliai.]

[He's still holding onto her waist.]

Magic? Nah, that's my brother. I'm a mutant.

[That so hasn't even registered yet her head's still sort of spinning.]

And can all 'mutants' run like you can?

[He laughs a bit.]

My uncle can. But, no, we're mostly all different. We have different powers and stuff. [This is hard to explain to someone who's never heard of a mutant before.]

Like, okay. For example, I've got a friend who has super strength and another one who can control plants and I can run fast. It's all pretty random.

That sounds incredible.

[Her tone is full of wonderment.]

Do you... have people without abilities as well?

[She isn't going to say 'normal people', because that's something of a slippery slope as far as she's concerned. She's seen it first hand.]

Yeah. There used to be a whole lot of mutants, but now not so much. It's mostly just normal humans. [he gives a small shrug.]
