[When the video starts, the man sitting at the console is still peering warily at some of the hardware. It doesn't seem quite as advanced as the systems he'd outfitted the Aquacave with, but he doesn't particularly trust much of anything here. He's blond, probably tall, and somewhat damp-looking, dressed in an... interesting... orange scaled shirt. His posture is also impeccable, almost royal.] It isn't every day I start things off by being fished out of the sea. [He's not pleased. Not pleased at all, which is obvious from his scathing tone.] The joke is much less humorous to my wife and me.

Obviously I've been... filled in... by the natives, but I'm not sure I trust the information given. Alternate dimensions are rarely so straight-forward. [He mumbles something under his breath and it probably isn't all that appropriate or kingly, but hey, alternate dimensions, just another Tuesday. Or whatever day it is.]

[Clark shakes his head, nothing in particular had changed to make him think any of them were being listened to but...] I just don't feel comfortable using it after seeing to what lengths they have hidden things from us.

Were you told about the underwater incident?

Understandable. If 'you know who', as GL calls him, can do it... [He wouldn't put it past this Emperor to be monitoring them however she can. He would possibly do the same in her situation. Well, he wouldn't be in her situation because he wouldn't drag people from their worlds against their wills to defend Atlantis, but any influx of newcomers is bound to disrupt a city.]

I wasn't. What happened?

[He sighs because it wasn't really a happy memory, and it was pretty recent- but he had gone through worse. And judging the way things were going it wasn't going to be a single thing they hadn't been warned about.

Better to get Arthur ready than to be sorry.] The turtle decided to travel underwater for a while, which... wasn't too bad. Lack of sunlight, but we could manage.

But then we were attacked by zombies.

[relentlesstide]

[His expression visibly tightens at the word 'zombies'. His Black Lantern experience wasn't all that long ago, relatively, and it- it was not something he ever wanted to see happen again. He has to fight down a sort of nauseous rage to keep his voice steady.]

Undead. But I assume since no one drowned, the shell has some sort of barrier? Were these things allowed in or was it breached?

[He hears more than he sees Arthur's reaction, but he can't really blame him. Having to fight Kal-L, having to fight Kon himself... and Arthur's family had it even worse.

Zombies is really not something they want a repeat of.]

It was. Kind of? The barrier stayed up and protected us but the zombies managed to... cross it at some points after a couple days. Some have tried to break it again ever since, to no avail.

[It was one of the worst things he'd ever been through, honestly. He was there when Garth died, when Garth was murdered, but he was one of them. One of the Black Lanterns. He couldn't help Garth.]

I see. [Oh, he really doesn't like talking about zombies...]
