[Mera looks less than pleased as she stands in front of the terminal, arms folded over her chest. It's probably about time she spoke to people herself but she's not happy about it. Gotta try to be less grouchy than Arthur though]

I really do not appreciate being plucked out of the sea like some kind of fish. I don't appreciate being tossed into a cart after being plucked from the sea either. I'm not a trout waiting to be sold in a market. [She's really just complaining because this is weird. Better to complain than to seem lost]

Did if ever occur to anyone that I might be happier in the sea? No, of course not. Why would you ask someone if they would rather stay in the water than be brought up onto land.

[She lets out a calming breath, pinching the bridge of her nose]

I'm sorry. Being irritated really won't help anything and it's not the point right now anyway. What I want to know is how many people here are familiar with Atlantis, have heard of it or are even from there? I know my husband has already spoken to some of you but I want to speak to you myself. It's not all that important but I'm curious. [She considers asking about the Justice League too but she knows that some of Arthur's "friends" are rather secretive. That might not be received well]

He has this thing where the more he's told he shouldn't try something, the more he feels compelled to do it. But I'll be sure to be with him when or if he tries it. [Let's be real, he's probably gonna try it]

[He frowns.] I can't think of anything offhand [especially if Arthur had already talked to Bruce and Kal], but I'll let you know if something comes up.

Kyle Rayner. [Since he doesn't know how she wants to address him, he offers his full name.] It's nice to meet you properly, your Majesty.

You don't have to be so formal. Mera will do just fine.

[Oh good, Kyle dislikes formality.] In which case, call me Kyle. [Oh, and-] I'm a Green Lantern, forgot to mention.

Oh, I know. I recognized the ring right away. You could say I've....got a bit of experience with Lanterns. [Red ones, specifically]

[He hasn't had much interaction with the other Corps... and assumes she means an Earth Lantern.]

...Well, I was a Red Lantern. For a short time. [And then she almost died of heart failure, yay]

[His eyes widen with shock.] Are you all right?

Yes, I'm fine. The ring is gone and as far as I can tell, it didn't do anything to me. I feel completely normal again. It was....interesting. Not something I'd like to do again.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't recommend - that. At all. [Oh God he has so many questions. What happened to her circulatory system? Did she have heart failure? What did it feel like puking napalm? Did a Blue Lantern get to her or did she find some other way to be healed of the red?] I'm glad you're okay. If you - start feeling weird or anything, call.

[It's hard not to make that sound like an order, but he is very worried.]

It's not an experience I would recommend to other people. But I'm fine, I promise. Nothing to worry about. Cardiac arrest aside.
