[Mera looks less than pleased as she stands in front of the terminal, arms folded over her chest. It's probably about time she spoke to people herself but she's not happy about it. Gotta try to be less grouchy than Arthur though]

I really do not appreciate being plucked out of the sea like some kind of fish. I don't appreciate being tossed into a cart after being plucked from the sea either. I'm not a trout waiting to be sold in a market. [She's really just complaining because this is weird. Better to complain than to seem lost]

Did if ever occur to anyone that I might be happier in the sea? No, of course not. Why would you ask someone if they would rather stay in the water than be brought up onto land.

[She lets out a calming breath, pinching the bridge of her nose]

I'm sorry. Being irritated really won't help anything and it's not the point right now anyway. What I want to know is how many people here are familiar with Atlantis, have heard of it or are even from there? I know my husband has already spoken to some of you but I want to speak to you myself. It's not all that important but I'm curious. [She considers asking about the Justice League too but she knows that some of Arthur's "friends" are rather secretive. That might not be received well]

That's it, I suppose. This is nonsense...

I understand. I do. And I am going to try my best to make things better for you, even here but I understand there will be some things I just...can't fix. I'm still going to try.

It isn't your responsibility to make things better. I'm the one who should be fixing things. [He isn't used to feeling... helpless. He was a King of Atlantis, ruler of a good three quarters of the entire Earth's surface, former Waterbearer for the Lady of the Lake. He hasn't felt quite this helpless since they lost Artie.]

It just isn't fair. [He knows that life is unfair, he really does, it's been unfair to him his whole life, but... Unfairness is something that a King should be able to right.]

I know it isn't. Nothing is ever really fair.

[Give him a break, he's still grieving. And now he's in a pocket dimension away from home and away from Atlantis when it needs him. Arthur is struggling with it all, really, not that he'll ever admit it.] Atlantis is lucky to have had you. I'm lucky to have you. [That he doesn't have any trouble admitting, though. Mera has always been a good queen, and the love of his life.]

No. But I feel like I should be able to do something about it.

[Mera just smiles and says nothing in response to that]

[That brings a smile, albeit a small one, to his lips. It's nice to have her support, to have her love, instead of having her trying to kill him or something. Not that he really blames her for that.]

I love you too. [Even after everything they've been through together over the years, that's still true] That might be a good idea. If you wanted to take a walk down to the edge I could get us some salt water too.

Salt water would be more comfortable for both of us. [Their bodies do need the trace minerals and salt from ocean water that freshwater can't provide.] I can see about renting or borrowing one of those carts to carry it. [Hard water powers are great for hauling seawater long distances.]

That would be helpful. I can harden and shape the water and we can load it into the wagon to carry back.

I'll see what I can do about a cart, then. It shouldn't take too many trips.

Good. If we're stuck here we might as well make the place a little nicer, yes? [And that involves sea water]

It is apparently our place now. For the time being. [Definitely involves sea water. He doesn't particularly like sleeping in anything else.]
