He knows that this is a city on the back of a turtle—which sounds vaguely like something out of one of the books on surface-dweller mythology he had read once—but why he had been chosen and how cut off his final memories were before arriving here was still a mystery.]

It's confusing, to say the very least. [She doesn't even want to try working it out. Magic sucks] But it seems for now we'll just have to bide our time and take our information bit by bit. As annoying as that is.

Yes, I've been told they have. Apparently there's a barrier both in the water and the sky. You can only fly so high or swim so low before you run into it. And apparently running into it is not recommended. Superman said it was like being pulled when he encountered it in the air. There's also apparently nothing worthwhile on the sea floor and trying to get there in the first place is risky. Communicating with the turtle we're on is also apparently a bad idea.

Is the turtle volatile? [It would be strange to have an entire civilization living on its back if it was, but why else would speaking to it create a problem?]

No, not volatile. But apparently it's so old that it's beyond the ability of any of us to comprehend what it has to say. The last person who tried told me it was like "being hit in the brain with a 2x4". So it's not a recommended choice.

Then I shall...abstain from attempting. Should anyone find a way to speak with the turtle on its own level, it would undoubtedly be Aquaman. [Kaldur has full faith in him in that regard. The turtle is a sea creature after all.]

I wonder. [She has faith in Arthur too but she also knows that some things are even beyond his skills] Regardless, I don't think it's something he should be encouraged to try.

He is...not someone who lets go of those ideas so easily. Therefore, we should do what we can to...mitigate the danger of the circumstances. [Therefore they should be there to make sure that he doesn't get himself into too much trouble.]
