[He's in his uniform for this post, or the approximation of it that Favrielle made - the dusty brown of US army formals in the Second World War, not the modern dress greens or blues.

For a breath as the feed comes on he looks tired, but it vanishes as soon as he speaks, friendly and neutral.]

Good evening. It's come to my attention that a number of you are familiar with some version of me, and I've been lax in either introducing or making myself available for questions. Steve Rogers - Captain America, for those who'll find the title relevant. Please, feel free to come by my suite whenever you need to. The locals know when I'm out, but someone is usually there.

[Two addresses - the first being his apartment, the second being a location in the Earth Sector.]

The other reason I wanted to address you all is that for the past few months I've been working on furnishing a sort of safehouse in the Earth Sector.

Seems more relevant now, after what happened when the turtle went under. Again, I'd like to make the space available to anyone among us who needs somewhere to stay, temporarily or otherwise, and to offer it up as an emergency location where we can mobilize during future crises.

[A pause, while he considers whether or not he's forgotten anything. A crooked smile.] I think that's it.

[There's a brief silence as Henry digests this; he hasn't actually contemplated the meaning of the future apart from some of the things Dorian has told him, and the matters that pertain directly to him. He may not care much for politics or even be a particularly patriotic Englishman, but the prospect of even an attempted invasion would give any man a chill. Still, there's no sign of it when he speaks.]

What a curious thing history is. And yet I suppose it should not surprise me that America and Britain would ally themselves; the men of my generation and their sons have married enough of America's daughters, and even in my day we have nearly everything in common, except language.

[Henry is slightly surprised at how much this confirms his liking of Rogers. Perhaps it's the unexpectedness of it; he is also struck by something inherently pleasant about the man that one rarely sees except in the most unspoilt of personalities, and which rarely lasts long. So the little jabs strike him no more painfully than a buttoned foil in a fencing match.]

And yet no one would deny that there is charm to be found in both the trimmed garden and the wild hedgerow.

[Henry's nature still encompasses that cruelty, of course. He's just chosen not to put it on display. This time.]

Indeed we do. I am glad we understand one another, Captain.

[Also not quite an apology for his own jabs.]

I am pleased to have had the chance to speak to you, and shall keep your offer of assistance in mind.
epigrammatical: (you are a wonderful creation)

I never hesitate, save in the matters of greatest importance. [A smile, and a nod of farewell.] Good afternoon, Captain.
