Good evening. It's come to my attention that a number of you are familiar with some version of me, and I've been lax in either introducing or making myself available for questions. Steve Rogers - Captain America, for those who'll find the title relevant. Please, feel free to come by my suite whenever you need to. The locals know when I'm out, but someone is usually there.

The other reason I wanted to address you all is that for the past few months I've been working on furnishing a sort of safehouse in the Earth Sector.

Seems more relevant now, after what happened when the turtle went under. Again, I'd like to make the space available to anyone among us who needs somewhere to stay, temporarily or otherwise, and to offer it up as an emergency location where we can mobilize during future crises.

[A pause, while he considers whether or not he's forgotten anything. A crooked smile.] I think that's it.

If you would ever require a doctor at this safe house, I am more than willing to offer my services. [ What is 'workaholic' for 500, Alex. ] While I would offer room at my own residence, I would like to reserve the limited space I have for those those injured and in constant need of medical care.

I'm positive we will, ma'am. [He's relieved that they finally have someone for the job, even if it means she's, you know, here.] Part of the space is laid out as an infirmary - I'd be happy to show you around whenever you have the time.

[He can't help it - he grins. It's nice to get that reaction after all the dry commentary and sarcasm.] Last time I checked.

It's livable. There are security measures not in place yet that I want done as soon as possible, and I'm going to start asking around for anybody willing to help keep the place staffed. Unfortunately I'm not the businessman Stark is - it's more of a community center than a business venture anyway.

I hadn't realized you were actually called 'Captain America.' [Chin in hand, he half-covers his mouth with splayed fingers.] May the country live up to you. That safehouse is a fine idea.

[He could get a similar comment from 90% of everyone and take it in stride. Make a joke, or fire back some dry bit of humor. Somehow the mix of sincerity and mischief from Dorian though gets more of a reaction.

Steve ducks defensively, rubbing his nose in a nervous gesture that Bucky and Peggy (and probably Natasha) would all recognize as he goes pink all the way to his ears.] It'll be better if it works.
