001; Audio - The one where Mike tries to make sense of this.

[Mike knows the rules, and he knows them by heart: When you're in a new place, and you aren't sure of your surroundings, you stay hidden to stay safe. Someone will come and find you. So when the kedan deliver him to his suite, Michaelangelo stays there.

It's only after he's lowered all the shades, explored the suite from top to bottom, and booby-trapped the front door with common household items, that Mike turns his attention to the communication console. Mike's access and familiarity with all things computer has been limited at best, with the bulk of his exposure coming in the form of play-testing what ever new video game Donatello had been coding. So it comes as more than a little bit of a shock to him that the console is as easy for him to work as the skim-milk blue guy with a similar number of fingers on his hands said it would be.

It doesn't matter that he's not home, or that the people who found him aren't quite human, or even that anyone who saw him on this vidscreen thing could easily just assume he was some sort of special effect added in post production.]

I'm just looking for my brothers. There was a light from some sort of machine. They started to disappear without me. I just. I just want to find them.

I don't know. It's...best if we don't do it alone. She's the one who is apparently responsible for us being here, if some of the backlog chatter on this network is anything to go by. No one knows why.

[deep, silent breath. Okay. This is not something to lay on Mikey. He can try and drag memories out of him later.]

Wait...you mean I got pulled here? I thought, that like, we got sent here by the machine at the TCRI building.

[This makes no sense. No sense at all, and the confusion can be heard in Mike's voice.

That is, until he falls quiet. Mike tries to replay the conversations he's had with the kaden in his mind, but...a lot of them have since squashed into one giant blur. He blames shock.]

I think, at one point, I just said I wanted to be near you guys, and they brought me to Water. I think that's where I am. I haven't really left the house since they brought me here.

Well, they weren't wrong. Raph should be around there somewhere.

Okay, something you should know? We might not all remember up to the same point. My memories extend past Raph's, and I don't know what you're talking about, so your latest memory is probably from a point after me. You remember a machine in the TCRI building? Probably has something to do with it - maybe the shock of the travel gave us some type of, I don't know, post-traumatic amnesia? I think the Kraang have something to do with it, and...I still do. Mostly. But there are way too many things with that hypothesis that just don't add up, so-

Nevermind. Don't worry about it. Just know that I don't remember what you remember, and that seems to be a pattern. I'll know more the longer I have to study it.

[Oh look, Donnie's rattling off about something in his I'm Going To Rattle Off About Something tone. Mike disengages, tuning back in every now and again to catch what he hopes are important words.]

Who are the Kraang?

What-? You can't be serious, Mikey. The alien race that's been trying to kill us? The guys who kidnapped April and her dad? Leatherhead?

[He stops suddenly, uneasiness returning. Mikey wasn't pulled out of the ocean. He came from that palace. How did Don know this wasn't some...facsimile, trying to get information?

But that didn't make sense. Why make it so obvious?]

I need to know everything you remember, from about a week before you arrived here.

[Mike whines slightly and then faceplants on the console. Or at least...that's what it sounds like he does. The fact that everything he says next comes out slightly muffled just adds to the whole effect.]

we've started going on roof runs in an attempt to find splinter, then we ran into some foot guys looking for payback and the fight lead us to the tcri building. we cased the joint, broke in, found brain-face aliens, then found splinter in a tube, and then because i'm an idiot and tried to make a diversion when i wasn't healed, i fell and started some sort of transporter beam thing.

This is still a Mikey, most likely not his Mikey with all the evidence so far, but still Mikey. Don dithers for a moment in silence before there's a sharp sigh and the sound of him standing up, along with the cloth-rustle noise of a heavy bag being lifted. He continues to speak as he moves, brisk and unhappy.]

All right, fine. I'll come find you. Look outside and give me a landmark; I'll be there in a couple hours. It's a long run. Don't go anywhere until then, I mean it.
