Has anyone seen or spoken to Nita--that is, Namorita Prentiss, in the last twenty-four hours? I expected her at dinner last night and thought perhaps she had just forgotten, but I'm having difficulty reaching her. She's not responded to my private messages...

[She pauses, a moment, as if expecting an answer, and then continues.]

For those of you not acquainted, she's average height, blonde, and beautiful, really. Her ears taper to a point at the top, and she has wings on her ankles. If anyone has any news of her whereabouts, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

That would make a great deal of sense, though I admit I'm still concerned. Do you know anyone who could search for her in the canals?

Though he recognized in retrospect that he was... less than gracious, she had been remarkably patient with him. This news puts a grim, flat frown on his face.

My understanding is that people disappearing here isn't uncommon?

Not uncommon, perhaps, but nonetheless alarming. This city is unfortunately full of unexpected occurrences, and I would hate to assume she's merely returned when it is possible something else has happened.

[Favrielle swallows once, the first sign perhaps that she is just holding herself together, and she manages a small smile for Dorian.]

I'd very much appreciate that, but I'm worried if I leave I might miss her return if she returns to her suite or responds to my messages.

I've seen her. Last evening while I was in the Wood Sector.

[While keeping relatively to herself these first few days, she's been making a point of learning as much about her surroundings as she can. Learning involves asking questions and looking around and she's been doing plenty of the latter. The kedan seem open enough in their answers and while not all have been eager to speak with her, they've all been helpful to a point.

There is a frown on her lips now, however. She had seen Nita when she'd been taken by Evandau and his men, but the kedan she'd asked immediately pressed that she let the matter lie and that clearly the foreigner had done something she shouldn't have.]

She was arrested several men... they were led by a man that I believe was called Evandau. I... I should have intervened, but the shop owners said he was doing his duty. I have not met your friend, but it was unmistakably her.

[Her tone and posture both should be clear indicators about how unhappy she is. She had recently been a prisoner and if even a fraction of what happened to her happens to this girl, she will hold herself personally accountable.]

[Favrielle feels a chill settle over her. The blood drains from her face. She can't imagine why Evandau would arrest Nita, but that he has taken it upon himself to do so himself concerns her deeply.]

Did you happen to hear anything about why she was arrested? I can't imagine her doing anything wrong that would warrant such a thing.

From what I understand, Nita was seen later in the afternoon after the morning I had last spoken with her. She was not in a good mood, according to the woman who had seen her. I've learned that later that evening, Evandau himself arrested her. What she could have done to warrant such actions, I do not know, nor does the other woman who witnessed it.

Yes, one of the other foreigners witnessed her arrest by Commander Evandau himself. The cause for such actions are unknown, presently, though I doubt very much that there is adequate cause.
