Voice;
[From the moment's hesitation between when the mic clicks on and the speech begins, it's obvious that this individual isn't quite comfortable with the interface yet. Possibly because, despite the demonstration he received from the kedan, he's never encountered technology of this level before.]
If I understand correctly, this message will be accessible to all of you in this city. I apologize for the intrusion on your day.
[He sure does sound ridiculously stiff, even to his own ears. But really, how is one supposed to address an entire city population without any sort of proper introduction?]
I arrived quite recently, and I find myself in need of proper clothing before all else. My current garb is not appropriate for public wear. [Because there's a big hole through it. No blood, strangely, and the wound itself seems to be healed, but still. His coat, his waistcoat, and shirt are all torn. His cravat escaped, but he can hardly wear that and nothing else.] If anyone could provide guidance on where I might find appropriate garb, I would be very grateful. I believe I've been housed in the Water Sector, if that is relevant.
[This barely dips past the surface of his many questions, but enough for today.]

voice;
My problem was similar. With the clothing, I mean. Like the gentleman before me, I tried Mademoiselle nó Eglantine for a tailored coat. She is a blunt woman, but skilled at her craft. The rest I picked up in the Earth Sector.
voice;
[Apparently, even in the afterlife one cannot escape international politics.]
Thank you. I will attempt to have it mended, first, if at all possible. Waste not, as they say.
[Keeping the uniform in tact has no emotional significance at all, of course.]
voice;
[A mild curiosity, nothing more. Just wait until Norrington meets the hordes of French students the turtle has in store.]
Another thing: I found nó Eglantine's prices astonishing. Do not question them.

Let me know if you figure a good place out, just got here recently myself and haven't found a place to acquire some new threads yet. A bro's gotta keep his wardrobe up to date with his surroundings and sad to say I've been slacking on that front.
voice;
Miss Favrielle no Eglantine seems to be the favorite, thus far.
[What on earth is a "bro"?]

[Dorian has to smile a little at the awkwardness of the introduction, but he won't goad Norrington about it.]
The recommendations for Favrielle are very right, and I'm sure I can loan you at least a coat until she gets to you. Shouldn't fit too horribly, I think.
voice; this can only end awfully
Thank you, sir, that is a very kind offer.
[Even if he's a bit dubious. He's kind of... tall. And broad.]
May I impose upon you for a shirt, as well?
voice; shh no of course it will go well!
We will look back on this thread as James Norrington's Worst Day: The Musical
I'd put that musical on repeat
Who wouldn't.

[ there's something almost scandalous by not adding her surname, but frankly, Haytham doesn't give a damn. He can tell the speaker is English, speaking without a drawl that characterized the lower and working classes. In a city full of time-travelling French revolutionaries, it's a breath of fresh air. ]
Bespoke clothing may take time, but I'm sure she has something— appropriate for you to wear as you wait.

She comes extremely highly recommended, it seems.

His eyes widen, for only a moment, but then he arches an eyebrow dryly.]
And if I was attacked by a monster?
[Maybe not in the sense Gavroche meant -- after all, a stab wound is a stab wound -- but what harm is a moment of whimsy, for a boy his age?]

goddammit I added his tag accidentally and it won't go away so I'm just tagging it anyway

Good day, messire, my name is Favrielle nó Eglantine, and I have time available for appointments during the next day or so if you would like to arrange for a time to meet. I can assess your garments and mend what I'm able, or provide new pieces as necessary.

Chiming in for another recommendation of Miss Favrielle, even if I see she's already made contact.
The Earth sector is largely textile based, should you have further need. Most of the styles of Keeliai in general have an Asian influence and feel.
And please excuse the observation, but am I correct in assuming you're not familiar with this level of technology? [Sort of wondering and implying what year he's from??]

It is indeed more advanced than I have ever encountered. [Says the man whose last journey was navigated by magic compass.] You have me at a disadvantage, madam, as I do not recognize your style of dress.
[Translation: women in uniform? What is this?!]
