Yeah, I find that a little hard to swallow. More than this place, even. Has there been any verification, on that? Or am I just supposed to assume the nice people fishing me out of the ocean were telling the truth?

_{( Another pause, some muttering that isn't quite audible, though there may be a curse or two in there. Something about deserving this? Who knows. And then, just as unceremoniously as it began, the feed cuts. )}

Has anyone told you about the gang wars?

I saw a bit of a scuffle outside. Didn't realize it was that serious.

Some of the kedan have very strong anti-foreigner feelings. One of the gangs nearly held a public execution of two of the arrivals here, but the police force stepped in and the kedan were killed instead. The gang violence has escalated since.

[arches]

Of course it has.

I guess the fact that we don't want to be here is kind of lost on them, then.

Most likely. Apparently we're being brought here for a purpose, but no one will talk about what it is.

With my luck, we're probably human sacrifices.
