[She's been here quite a few hours now, and has had time to laugh off just about everything she's been told, although she's not trying to mock or anything. She's just not entirely sold on any of this, and isn't sure what to make out of it. So it's time to just roll with the punches and take things one hour at a time, to meet new people and maybe get in a few laughs.

Currently, she's writing down a list of things that she eventually turns and holds out to be seen. There's only a few words written down, and one is lightly crossed out

She says both of the non-marked through words as she points to them, and then glances back at her audience with eyebrows arched.]

Anyone here heard of 'em before?

[Yeah, they're all on her list of potential beings that could have gotten her off course, but really she's just hoping to find someone out there that has a common thread they can talk about. She isn't sure that any of the natives know what she's talking about though, and who knows about the rest of them. The list is set aside carefully, and she spends a moment staring over at it. She sighs then, and leans in. She's much more serious now, and looks entirely lost.]

Sorry. Don't really have a knack for using these things yet. Thing is, I'm looking for someone, thought that maybe he might be here? Goes by the Doctor, always going on 'bout things nobody understands? But I do, most of the time anyway, and -

[Nope, keep those emotions in Rose. Keep 'em in. A hand goes up to her mouth, her fingers curling up against her lips as she becomes increasingly more worked up over all this. Everything's hitting her all at once.]

I've gotta find him, if he's here. He's hopeless when he's out there all on his own.

Never heard of them before. [Finnick smiles at her.] But I have spoken once with someone who called themselves 'the Doctor'. It doesn't seem like the kind of name a lot of people would go by, so maybe he's the one you're looking for.

[Another good looking, charming guy. This place is just filled with them. He gets a smile in return, a nice big one since he got right to giving her good information.]

Heard he might be lurking about somewhere. Seems like people've talked to him once or twice but he doesn't stick around for more.

[Doesn't surprise her to heard that.]

How long ago was it? That you talked t'him?

[The big smile in return tugs a grin out of him. So many people here seem so immune to smiling.] Is that how he usually is?

[:|a] Maybe about a month and a half ago, when he first arrived on Tu Vishan.

Yeah, guess you could say that he is.

[Because she's got no other way of putting it.]

It's not his fault his attention span's all over the place. Least, I try not t'hold it against him.

[A pause, and then she's laughing.]

Not that much. So, how long've you been here, if you were around that long ago?

I know a few people like that. [He says it with a small smile, clearly not bothered by the eccentricities of others.] You just have to let them go and do what they feel they need to.

[:|a] Four, maybe five months now. Everything starts to blend together after awhile.

Yeah, I know how that is.

[She frowns a bit, pursing her lips together.]

I was gone away from home for twelve months before, but it only felt like a few days.

[Of course, it had only been a few days for her.]

I figured I'd be here a short while before leaving. Kinda hard to realize that's probably not gonna happen that way.

Why were you gone for so long? [Finnick wonders if she's been in a place like this before. The idea that time barely passes at all in one place is so foreign to him, he still isn't even sure if the fact that time is standing still back home is a real thing.]

After awhile, you sort of forget that you're likely not getting out of here. I'd tell you to enjoy it, but you haven't arrived at the best of times.

It's...complicated. I was away and just lost track of time, that's all.

[She thinks that she's not likely to forget that she's stuck in a place where her Doctor isn't, where she can't just pick up and leave and go wherever or whenever she wants. She wants to sulk over it, but the sulking and feeling sorry for herself can come after she's met more people and reality really sets in.]

I can't stay here. I'm sorry, I just...I can't. There's got to be some way out. It's not the rationing or any of that, I just can't stay here and get a job and take out a mortgage and leave the Doctor out there all alone.

[Time on Tu Vishan has been changing Finnick. Exposure to other people has been changing him. So he's quiet for a long moment, wondering what he can say to her.]

There isn't a way out. [He says it gently, though.] You have no choice but to stay here.

But I can't. [Her voice cracks as she gets worked up, and she looks down and away in order to compose herself. Once she finally thinks that she is, she looks back up, an apologetic smile on her face.]

Sorry. I just...it's hard t'know things are out there waiting for you, and you aren't strong enough to get outta here and find your way back to 'em.

Don't worry about it. [He leans back in his chair, watching her for a moment.] None of us are strong enough to get out. If it helps, time has stopped back home, if the Emperor can be believed.

What? [She's entirely in disbelief of that. The luck she has, being able to be in another place where it's just like only ten seconds or less have passed while she's away! All her moping's gone and she's left laughing in delight.]

That's brilliant! I dunno if anyone can believe emperors or not, but in this case I figure it's better to.

[Women are strange sometimes, but he grins back at her.] It's not like we have any knowledge otherwise on the matter, so we might as well.

[This woman is always strange and all over the place.] Do you know if anyone here's left then come back? Maybe they'd have a good idea.

[She'll fit in with most of the other women Finnick talks to then.] I don't. You could probably ask to see, though.
