Fourth Post [video]
[Sabriel looks exhausted but also strangely energized, like she's drunk several cups of coffee. There's a book in the background- oddly the writing on the spine is in the kedan language, instead of English.]
Several nights ago I was attacked by the man calling himself Amon. He had.. some kind of ability to control my body. [And Sabriel's expression hardens.] I made sure he cannot use that power any more. [Although she wasn't expecting was that Amon would thank her for it.]
There are several other things I'd like to discuss. I know the kedan are becoming hostile again, and we have learned that we were brought here to battle something powerful, and that not everyone here has the ability to fight.
[Sabriel holds up her hand, and traces a glowing symbol in the air that quickly begins to fade.]
I am a Charter mage, and and I can give others the ability to use the same magic I do. Charter magic can be used to heal, to defend, to attack, and to bind. If you're interested in learning, I will teach you. [Sabriel regards the camera quite seriously. It's been brought up enough that she feels the need to address one concern she's heard.] And if you attempt to abuse that power, I will stop you.
And has anyone heard from Cosette? She didn't show up for her lesson. [Amon's attack is still fresh in Sabriel's mind, and she's starting to worry something similar might have happened to Cosette.]
[Locked to her students; 30% encryption]
I've spoken with Iorveth, and I believe there's something we can do to help with what we were brought here to do.
I want to start teaching all of you about binding spells- I'll explain more when we meet in person, but I think this is the best way we can help Tu Vishan.
[Locked to Iorveth; 30% encryption]
I've learned a little more about what we're meant to face. [And then Sabriel actually smiles.] And something that might be of even more use.
[ooc: Replies may also come from Amon, who's still hanging out in Sabriel's suite.]

Are you all right?
[There is concern in her voice there since she had spoken with Sabriel on the day of her arrival.]
You took away his bending?? [Her voice escalates from concern to that of shock.]

And I bound his bloodbending. He still has the rest of it. [Sabriel's a little baffled by the shock.]

[There's a long pause before she takes a deep breath.]
Your spells can take away someone's bending?

It's the first time I tried something like this- I wasn't completely sure it would work.

[The creak of a chair is heard and her voice is slightly louder. She can't believe she's saying this.]
Is there any way to undo it?

Amon doesn't want me to remove the binding. When I told him what I'd done, he actually thanked me.

[Another deep inhale before her voice goes back down again. Exploding and flying off the handle wasn't going to help her situation. No matter how badly she really wanted to.]
He attacked you and he probably would have done so with waterbending if he couldn't bloodbend. Physically even. [Her memory of his physical prowess had not faded, not in the slightest.]
I think he attacked you because he sees your magic as an actual threat. It's why he tried to kill me. Because I was a threat to his personal revolution.
Audio; 30% Encryption
If I see him attempting to start any more revolutions I'll be sure to tell you. [But Tarrlok came across as rather more unhinged than his brother, in Sabriel's opinion.]
If it comes to another fight, I'll deal with him. Even with his bloodbending, I was able to knock him out.
Re: Audio; 30% Encryption How did you like my fifty edit notifs???
It's not just his bloodbending that's dangerous. Don't trust anything he tells you, stay away from him if you can or you'll end up betrayed like his followers were.
[She really is concerned for Sabriel, especially since they're so close in age.]

[Her voice louder and clearer, ringing through her microphone.]
Keep your guard up around him.
video; SUP.
Might I intercede?
audio; Hola~
Amon! What are you up to now? Or did you just feel the urge to attack another girl?
[Acidic and incensed words fly from her mouth, practically shouting through her microphone.]
When have you ever waited for anyone's permission before doing what you want?
video;
[ It's completely normal to couch surf at a teenaged girls' house what are you talking about. ]
"When have you ever waited for anyone's permission before doing what you want?"
I want you to repeat that back to me and tell me exactly why anyone would take that with a mountainous grain of salt hearing that from you.
[ Hello Amon sounds more like a lecturing teacher than a hated enemy right now. ]
audio;
I want you to explain to me what your game is. You may be able to fool the people here who don't know who you are, but I've seen your real face. I don't mean your mask, your fake scar, or Noatak's. I saw your face Amon after I sent you into the water and after everyone saw you for the lying fraud you really were.
[With each sentence her words start to become underlined with a slight snarl.]
Tell me why you attacked Sabriel.
video;
My 'game'? It might befit you to know that between us and my brother we're the only benders here, and it is very telling of your thick-skulled ways to find it incomprehensible that I am capable of working alongside my fellow man quite amicably. And while my backstory was fabricated, I must protest as fraud is too blanketing a term; I was earnest in my motivations.
[ Amon switches sending and receiving feed to video. Korra would need to accept, but wouldn't it be nice to see each other again? ]
Sabriel is perfectly capable of speaking for herself. Maybe you should concern yourself with the fact you and I are not the only ones capable of taking away bending, and by no means the apex in terms of ability. You're out of your league here, Avatar.
video;
Korra, if you really want to know why Amon attacked me-I accidentally gave someone abilities they didn't want. And Amon was upset by the fact that I was bestowing such abilities in the first place.
He suddenly appeared behind me, I blinded him, and then undid that spell.
He attacked me and I made him go to sleep and brought him to my suite so I could bind him. The act of binding- knocked him unconscious for a while, and I wasn't going to drag and unconscious man into the streets.
audio;
[The request for video conferencing isn’t denied, or accepted. Apparently she’s ignoring the option altogether.]
Your bloodbending getting an on/off switch is one thing Amon, but if you ever want it taken away permanently I can arrange that. Maybe then you’ll get a dose of your own medicine and see how you made those benders feel. [There’s a definite note of grim satisfaction in her words and it reflects the retributive smile on her face.]
But I doubt you’re man enough to stand up to your due punishment just like you couldn’t face me honorably without your goon squad.
[When Sabriel comes back onto her screen, Korra’s voraciousness subsides a bit.]
Then the right thing to for any normal, rational person to do would be to talk to you about it, not attack or threaten you. What you did doesn’t give anyone, especially that monster, the justification to assault you!
[Having learned her lesson the first time, she’s feels safe in saying:] After knocking him out you should have reported him to the police force and let them handle it. I have half the mind to report that lunatic myself.
video;
[Sabriel gives Amon a long, exasperated look.]
Well, it might give Javert a reason, but he wasn't the one who attacked me.
audio; I'm so sorry for Sabriel, she doesn't deserve any of this
What is wrong with you!? [No, she can’t believe she just repeated what her master once asked her. But to her Amon is the end-all, be-all of absolute wrongness in her personal world so everything she says is justified. Yup.]
no subject
I never wanted your life, and perhaps I should have clarified for you because of course you would equate being a non-bender with a fate equal to or worse than death. [ This was seriously putting a damper on his afternoon; you already have your bending, Korra. Honestly someone might think you're upset. ]
Don't act proud. Thinking yourself falling face first into a convenient victory of chance elevates you.
A proposal: I run a clinic in a poor part of the Earth sector, and the injuries have increased with ever expanding construction projects in the area. You can help people that despise you instead of ignoring them like you had in Republic City. With a neutral party keeping the peace, of course.
The choice is on you.
Video; Korra and her crap
Maybe you've been on this turtle too long or have some weird definitions; but you telling me that Benders of every nation would rally behind my untimely DEMISE and you saving me for last so I get my duel and then you’ll DESTROY me really comes across as you wanting to kill me!
[Those words on that night have never left her even after she accepted her fears and talked about them. That first step in overcoming them…]
I hope Sabriel’s got a good enough head on her shoulders to recognize that you’re still lying to get what you want.
[As she seethes while listening to his proposal she can only develop a withering, scathing, slow burn of a glower that bores through her camera. Directly so they are piercing at the eyes cradled by that mask.]
If you think for one moment that I EVER ignored the people of Republic City, then you really have lost your mind. [If she could, Korra would take the memory of her defending the non-benders from Tarrlok’s task force and stab his brain with it.]
We’re done here.
[Without even bothering to address his offer, the last image is of her exhaustively putting her face in her hands before the feed cuts out.]
video→action;
Your death would not serve a purpose- here or there.
[ At least he got that in before she swan dived.
To push collectively all of her buttons, Amon fired off a (prepared in the event of the inevitable blowout) text message with directions to the clinic. Far as he was concerned she could continue to blow him off and go about posturing to the masses. ]
That could have gone better.
[ With an exasperated sigh, Amon removed his mask then leaned back into his chair. He looked to Sabriel with all the amassed wear and tear from his time on Keeliai. ]
And now you've met the benevolent champion of my world.
action;
I've spoken to Korra before, but if you didn't try to kill her then what on earth did you do to make her so upset?
[Her tone isn't quite accusing, but Sabriel's pretty sure there's more to what happened than what either of them are saying.]
Does this have something to do with your brother insisting that killing you would be more merciful than what I did?
action;
My goal was to undermine bending as the controlling force in our lives, and that poor excuse for an Avatar was more a thorn in my side than the nemesis she imagines me.
[ He kept the tonality even and restrained, but every word let on how annoyed he truly was. ]
So far you've been given the opinions of my enemy, whom you're now doubt aware possesses more hot air than patience. And received an extraordinarily one-sided version of my entire life from my very much estranged brother.
Tell exactly what it is about me you want to know so you can form your own opinion and be done with it.
