[Sabriel looks exhausted but also strangely energized, like she's drunk several cups of coffee. There's a book in the background- oddly the writing on the spine is in the kedan language, instead of English.]

Several nights ago I was attacked by the man calling himself Amon. He had.. some kind of ability to control my body. [And Sabriel's expression hardens.] I made sure he cannot use that power any more. [Although she wasn't expecting was that Amon would thank her for it.]

There are several other things I'd like to discuss. I know the kedan are becoming hostile again, and we have learned that we were brought here to battle something powerful, and that not everyone here has the ability to fight.

[Sabriel holds up her hand, and traces a glowing symbol in the air that quickly begins to fade.]

I am a Charter mage, and and I can give others the ability to use the same magic I do. Charter magic can be used to heal, to defend, to attack, and to bind. If you're interested in learning, I will teach you. [Sabriel regards the camera quite seriously. It's been brought up enough that she feels the need to address one concern she's heard.] And if you attempt to abuse that power, I will stop you.

And has anyone heard from Cosette? She didn't show up for her lesson. [Amon's attack is still fresh in Sabriel's mind, and she's starting to worry something similar might have happened to Cosette.]

I've spoken with Iorveth, and I believe there's something we can do to help with what we were brought here to do.

I want to start teaching all of you about binding spells- I'll explain more when we meet in person, but I think this is the best way we can help Tu Vishan.

He objected the fact that I was teaching people magic. He caught me by surprise, and my reflexes were faster than my mind- I blinded him for a few seconds, but once I removed it and apologized, he attacked me.

[Alcuin doesn't look upset, but he does go quiet for a minute or two, thinking about it.]

It sounds like an unfortunate incident.

How long will this last? [Because there's no use getting worked up about it if he's only been chi blocked or something similar.]

I placed a binding on him to keep him from using his bloodbending, which will last until I remove it. [Excuse me who are you mister?]

You had every right to defend yourself against my brother, but I must ask that you remove the bind at once. You're not from our world, so I understand if you don't know what a horrible thing it is that you've done to him. I will take no further action against you nor will I hold a grudge if you release him when you are next able to.

[Frankly, he feels like exploding with rage, but figures politeness will work better than yelling.]

[Wait wait hold on what was that this Amon guy controlled her BODY?

As someone who takes immense pride in his physical skill and control (and who relies on that to keep both himself and his brothers alive), that's at the top of Leo's list of nightmare fuel. All he can really think of is Sensei under the influence of the Rat King, and that moment when Leo thought his father was going to execute him with his own sword was one of the most frightening moments of his life.

There's somebody here who can do that, and their power apparently isn't limited to rodents. Not good.]

I knocked him out, and placed a binding on him. He cannot use that power any more.

[ She can give people the ability to use magic, huh? It's grabbed at Wally's interest, just a tiny bit, after a conversation he had a little while ago. ]

So how does it work? Are there books we have to study or do you just zap the knowledge into us?

You have to receive a baptism in order to use it, but you need to study to learn the spells.

[Temeraire has seen her face before on the network, but had little cause to speak to her. Now, however, his worried face appears on the network, whiskers twitching.]

What did you do to him? Amon, I mean--is he unhurt? Why did he attack you? [A little belatedly:] Are you unhurt, as well?

[WTF talking dragon! Sabriel does her best to stay calm though.]

I placed a binding on him, to make sure he wouldn't be able to hut people. He's fine, and I stopped him before he was able to hurt me very badly. [She may still have a few bruises on her neck though.]

He was upset that I'd chosen to share knowledge from my world with other people here.

Perhaps I should explain, but the outcome was best for the both of us.

Handing out power willy nilly, then threatening to take it back seems to be a rather poor way of going about it.

I can't take it back, although I'm perfectly capable of forcing people to stop misusing it. [Hopefully. Sabriel's relying on the fact that since she'll have taught any such wrongdoers, she'll know how to stop them- with the bells, if necessary.]

And here I didn't even get to put my own warning about how dangerous Amon can be on the network since no one listened to Tarrlok. [Like they should have.]

[There is concern in her voice there since she had spoken with Sabriel on the day of her arrival.]

It would be more accurate to say that I bound one of his abilities.

I've never done anything like that before, and I'm not sure I'd be able to do it to someone with different abilities.

The thing we were brought to fight is the reason for Tu Vishan's illness and it is as powerful as the Emperor claims.

Also, it enjoys destruction, pain and death because of its nature, and Tu Vishan has no knowleged of how it might be defeated.
