[An alarmed face appears on the video. Blonde hair with pink streaks, slightly runny makeup, brightly colored chunky jewelry, thick-rimmed glasses. She has not calmed down a single bit since arriving and isn't afraid to show it. Immediately, she starts rambling.]
Okay. I'm used to weird, but this is like -- the freaking Twilight Zone. I get that the, uh, people who escorted me to what is apparently the place I'm supposed to live now kept trying to get me to calm down but... well! How ever is explaining things in terms of 'death and dreaming' supposed to calm a girl down?! Not that I'm sure they're not very nice aliens, I just prefer my Sci-Fi weirdness come with a pause button.
...And what in the name of the 1990's is going on with this GUI? [Someone is not impressed with the communication device.] It's not even portable. No way I'd have a dream without a decent tablet. At minimum.
[She may not take a breath anytime soon, unless someone cares to interrupt...]
((OOC: Reminder for anyone of the sci-fi or comic persuasion to please check out her permissions post so I know what the 4th walling sitch is! If I run any red lights just give me a poke and I'll fix it lickity split.))

Work, in this case, is synonymous with 'flirting'. So when he answers the comm he's wearing his command golds and grinning, just a bit. He likes her attitude, okay?]
And if I say you're dreaming of me, sweetheart, would you hold it against me?
[Jim Kirk, tablets... totally the same thing.]

That is a spectacular setup, and although I'm not really feeling at my most effervescent right now, props where they're due.
How's about you give me the skinny on what's going on while I think up a worthy response?

Yeah, this place can be pretty...different at first. But you get used to it. [He was used to computers that took up whole rooms or at least an entire wall of one.] Are you okay?
[video]
[Is she okay, that is a very good question.] I'm sort of thinking I've gone nutso and I'm in a padded room somewhere with a steady Haldol drip, to be honest. But I guess it could be worse. Like, nightmare on Elm Street worse.

[ Tony's eyebrows rise as though he's just witnessed her do an impossible feat and is thoroughly impressed. ]
You're optimistic. I'm not sure if that's a good thing to be around here.
[ The corner of his mouth quirks upward in a smile. ]
It's more like the Stone Age. They're still struggling with the idea that the mouse isn't actually a furry rodent.

But yeah, I'm not exactly sure I'm with the idea of actually staying here, but if this fantasy sequence continues for more than the next ten minutes I'm doing a total tear-down. Then at least one thing will make sense.

[The teen boy on the screen shrugs.]
Personally? I think they styled that whole opening welcome-to-Turtletopia spiel to make everyone as confused and overwhelmed as possible. It's hard to argue disoriented.
video;
...But it's also killing my hopes that this is some the result of one too many drinks tonight, because why would people in my dream find it strange to be there? In which case I really, really do not know where to start. With anything.

Nah, it's just hair dye. I like to keep it funky. Man, and here I thought I couldn't possibly get any more adrenaline flowing!

I know I ramble when I'm upset but it's one habit I can't seem to kick. Change is not me favorite thing.

Yeah? Thanks! I wasn't planning on being dragged into another dimension or whatever, but at least I don't have roots on top of everything.

I know it's stressful. Try to calm down.

I'm hearin' you, huh? An' you're sayin' words, summat what like 'twilight zone' and 'GUI,' an' I'm understandin' what the words are but not what they mean.
Y'ain't speakin' like normal.
video;
Sorry. Really. It's not a big deal what they mean...
Um. What are you doing here? [Because where is your mommy seriously.]

Why does everyone always assume 'aliens'? We aren't always responsible for this kind of situation, most of the time is simply magic. Humanoid, extremely terran magic.
And considering this place is out of time and out of... well, everything really I don't think that term applies anyway.
video;
Well, uh. I didn't mean anything bad by it. I've just never seen a person who wasn't also a human. I couldn't really think of a better word for not-human, and I'm obviously not at my most articulate and politically correct when I'm freaked out.
So... what are they, then? The people who brought us here.

And I gotta say, that's a bummer since apparently I'm supposed to stick around. I don't know what I'm going to do once the charge on my iPad runs out.

It could be worse! You could have had them explaining things in terms of 'dreaming and death', and how is that going to help anyone?
[video]
...But I'm guessing that's not really an option. Yeah?

[video]
It's kind of weird here, but it's really not that bad, if you just take some time to get used to it... and breathe. That's important. [Breathe, you got this.]
[video]
[But she does take a breath. Having people tell her to calm down is the only effective thing aside from Derek.] Maybe you could extrapolate on the "not that bad" thing? Because I'm pretty much thinking it's exactly that bad. You know, so far.
