Okay. I'm used to weird, but this is like -- the freaking Twilight Zone. I get that the, uh, people who escorted me to what is apparently the place I'm supposed to live now kept trying to get me to calm down but... well! How ever is explaining things in terms of 'death and dreaming' supposed to calm a girl down?! Not that I'm sure they're not very nice aliens, I just prefer my Sci-Fi weirdness come with a pause button.

...And what in the name of the 1990's is going on with this GUI? [Someone is not impressed with the communication device.] It's not even portable. No way I'd have a dream without a decent tablet. At minimum.

[She may not take a breath anytime soon, unless someone cares to interrupt...]

Work, in this case, is synonymous with 'flirting'. So when he answers the comm he's wearing his command golds and grinning, just a bit. He likes her attitude, okay?]

[She stares at the video for a good second -- and then cracks a smile. A somewhat nervous smile, granted. If she weren't so used to flirting with Derek in the midst of high drama she might be even more wary, but fortunately she's well trained for this. And this dynamic most always calms her down.]

That is a spectacular setup, and although I'm not really feeling at my most effervescent right now, props where they're due.

How's about you give me the skinny on what's going on while I think up a worthy response?

But yeah, I'm not exactly sure I'm with the idea of actually staying here, but if this fantasy sequence continues for more than the next ten minutes I'm doing a total tear-down. Then at least one thing will make sense.

Why does everyone always assume 'aliens'? We aren't always responsible for this kind of situation, most of the time is simply magic. Humanoid, extremely terran magic.

And considering this place is out of time and out of... well, everything really I don't think that term applies anyway.
