The Corps is moving its headquarters to WA-1A until further notice. [ a quiet, sharp inhale. [There's not enough "oh craps" in the world for this. Kyle switches to video and desperately hopes he's the picture of calm.]

Nobody's sure how or why, but people disappear from here sometimes. The apartment's usually empty, there's no sign they were ever here except for the people who knew them, and network records.

[A pause.]

I think Rose is the latest.

Like bloody hell she is! Where'd you see her last?

[ They may call the Doctor the Oncoming Storm, but judging by Donna's face right now, she's the Oncoming Hurricane. She might not be able to do anything more than yell, but she will scream her lungs out nonetheless. ]

[Oboy.]

A few days ago, at her apartment. [Patiently:] I can check with you if you want, my ring can track her.

[Except it can't, now, and I always know what that means.]

[ Of course. Why hadn't Donna thought of the magic ring that came from the magic cereal box? ]

Then track her with your ring!

[ She cringes. She does occasionally hear herself. At her volume just now, it's hard not to. ]

Sorry. Just- Please. Track her. Help me make sure she's all right.

[He won't do this in public, or at least, he'll try not to. Steadily, he moves his hand so it's in full view of the screen, and the ring glows. A map of Keeliai appears, with glowing dots marking out the people Kyle keeps track of.]

[Commandingly:] Find Rose Tyler.

[There's a long, terrible pause, before it announces:]

UNABLE TO LOCATE SUBJECT: TYLER, ROSE.

[It repeats the announcement, and the glow fades.]

[ Donna watches, her eyes growing larger as the ring glows and the map appears.

And then it can't find her.

She leans back, looking almost as disappointed as she feels. ]

Right. Something tells me I'd better stick to legging it. Nice trick, though.

[Kyle doesn't even look or seem upset, just immensely tired.]

Let me know if you need a hand, yeah?

[ She straightens and prepares to get ready. What does one take to track down a young blonde woman? Oooh, listen to her. "What does one take." She'll be adopting a flock of corgis next. A herd of corgis? ]

Hey, you... You let me know if you need more help with something too, all right?

[He actually chuckles.]

Kyle. Not.. "hey you".

[ Oh.

Ha, ha.

She grins, even though it's more fond than amused. Kyle's a nice guy, really. He deserves better than whatever's wrong with him. ]

Seriously, though. If you, Kyle, have any trouble, just call me.

[A slightly wider grin.]

[A beat, and then, nervously-]

Clara makes great cookies, y'know. If you need... something to eat. While searching.

[ Hmm. Is that his way of saying he doesn't think she needs to go on a diet? That's... rather sweet of him, really. ]
